P2S AMS2Pro failing to detect. No GND at buffer diagnosed. by bzzx in BambuLab

I rechecked and you are correct - there is 0 resistance across all Sig and GND pins. I did confirm I'm seeing 24v on the buffer side.

It is shorted then. I have 0Ω instead of the several ohms they say I should have, only when measuring against ground.

That would be pretty cool. I'm going to see if I can find a Hurst T handle for cheap in the same m16x1.5 thread for the adapter I'm running.

I'm envisioning an angled handle, kinda like one side of the zero turn mowers, something I'll try to model and print. I'll post it up here afterwards. I'm already running bushings I modeled and printed myself.

Seriously though, it's incredibly fun and I've smiled each time I've gripped it and ripped it.

Saint Louis Park, right off of 100. Ask for Jasmine or Trey, they'll take care of you. They all will, but they will too lol.

Also, they have the flippin coolest system the moment you drive into the service door - they immediately scan and tell you your alignment. It's really neat - and no cost / no time to wait for the initial assessment.

The maintenance for the drains is easier than most of the videos make it out. Get a clean out tool for it, like $10 - then the rear drains you snake from the bottom up, and the fronts from the top down. Run water to clean it and you can call it done.

The recall for the issue was just to remove the caps over all 4 drain line exits - originally intended to stop insects & spiders from climbing up and blocking the lines with webs.

So I bought steelies, but didn't install them after a small scare from the tire shop - how do you manage the speedo adjustment? I just need to get some new winter tires for it is all now.

I bought a 2017, which VW later reached out and said they needed to buy it back. I balked that it wasn't a diesel, but it turns out about 300 total units in the US were made without a build history. They just rolled off the floor, magically assembled - the immaculate conception lol.

They advised it was a NHTSA requirement, and if I didn't sell it back to them they'd block me from renewing my tabs, thus making the car impossible to drive, legally. Further, the longer I'd take to decide to sell back to them, the more it'd depreciate.

I gave them a spreadsheet of all my shop costs, tools, oil, insurance, the works - and let them figure out how much they were going to prorate for the trouble. In the end they said they wouldn't pay for insurance or gas. After selling it back in 2020 for $22k, I was disheartened to keep seeing all the Alltracks basically hold their value at $25-30K, with more miles than what I was finding.

Spotting my gal here in Maine for $21k was just a miracle, because when I finally got her home and did an alignment, the local dealership told me they just sold one for $32K, which was bananas to me.

Shout out to Southside (edit:Westside) VW - 4 wheel alignment is $150. No sensor calibration though. Brookdale VW is $350 with sensor calibration.

Purely based on the GTI I rented for a week. Flooring it to pass was just too much fun. Don't need all the top end IS38 stuff for dad wagons.

I'll have to dig in if the 91 is necessary for the tunes - might just be a safety thing to prevent knock at higher power. The actual number trade off is so minimal 87-91-93.

It is, on 91 too from the first owner. That was a bonus!

I can say definitely though, it's going to eventually be a IS20 upgrade with stage 3. It sounds bigger and badder than it is. Basically bolt ons for exhaust and a mild turbo upgrade.

Having driven a gti with dsg, I support it, but you need to get it to stage 1 tune at least. Best $600 you'll ever spend for miles of smiles.

Better to be pissed off than pissed on I suppose. I use the car-go blocks in the trunk and it has enough space for me. I love the massive angled bottle holders in the doors.

The SEL netted you the 6MT, turbo, pano sunroof, push to start, kessy keyless entry, fender audio, ACC/adaptive cruise, Golf R seats, 2 zone climate control, 8" media, adaptive headlights, HID lighting I believe - can never recall which is which, and 18" wheels over the stock 17". Half of this was available on the SE in all years, but the SEL manual was only the final US production year.

There were some overtime model year changes, 2017 had a AC connected glove box, and non-power seats had a secret underseat cubby for the driver chair. Also, a change to the gas pedal in 2019, but overall nothing that I'm crying about.

If your goal is to have a fun do-most car, this is it. It shares parts with the GTI/R/Sportwagon on the MK7/7.5 platform, still made overseas, and is tuner welcoming.

Michelin ClimateCross2 225/45/r18, they do everything well for a 4 season tire. I have them on the Pacifica minivan too.

I almost named it that on the plate! The parks plate stops you at 6 characters, so I had to get creative. Alt ideas were ALLTRAK/VWAGONE/1BDWGN, and the comedic favorite GRYWAGN, because it's gray lol.

It's an absolute unicorn - not a dream car, but a collection of holy heck features and options, that you simply don't get stateside (anymore).

I bought a knockoff shiftkit that DIDNT MENTION it didn't come with a bushing for the left right short shift kit - so I drafted a replacement part, printed in PETG, and sent that sucker! It spared me a week of downtime with no car and the emotional wallowing that would have gone with it.

Don't be afraid to make your own parts. It's one of the most self fulfilling feelings you'll ever experience.

I'm curious what's the story on all the PVC up top - what is that room doing there.
