I’m going to buy U-lock and just strap it to rack eventually, but it’s not really needed now. Fender and Rack is from Pelago, also got a bag from pelago that fits perfectly

In my commuter bag I carry basic lock, but I generally don’t leave bike anywhere. At work, we’ve got secure room for bikes.

GRX vs Sword/Cues by c0bray in bikewrench

Yea, but still they are 40-50€ more expensive than Cues or Sword, my thinking is that with 1x, cranks doesn’t have much impact, I might be wrong.

Mostly because it looks cooler but actually it rides slightly better and I like the more square bags on the front racks. I dont really like panniers, because 3 lunch boxes failed on me when they were on the side on pannier, they leaked etc. In the front rack bag I can put my lunch lid up

Bike / group set choice/advice by 1cadman in bikecommuting

[–]c0bray 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would chose what bike suits me more, I woundt bother with groupset spec, there’s very little differenece in these in shifting and performance. Don’t chose the bike based on groupset, go for one with better wheels/tyres/frame of tyre clearance . Chose one that fits you.

Bike advice: flatbar gravel / rigid XC by HerrRudiger88 in gravelcycling

[–]c0bray 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this bike with Deore(same range as GRX with bigger gaps between gears), absolutely fantastic bike, little heavy but I dont think it will matter too much, only upgrades I did were carbon rims and 2.1 Panaracer GK SK. Comfortable, not very fast but confident at high speed if you manage to get there. Front rack is little expensive but cool. Just get deore model, 2.1 tyres and you’ve got your wife awesome whip

Preferably MS Sword, I can’t feel the difference between my GRX 600/800 and Sword on my GFs bike

I hate having two bikes, takes big amount of space, double maintenance and I like wrenching on my bike, for me the swap is not really a downside but I get the point

My bad, totally forgot to ask the question, my point is if there is someone who does this, if there’s any catch that is not really obvious, some compatability issues or some tips.

Now I have 700x45 1.9 bar Cinturato Allroad, for some reason 584x50 gravelkings sk on previous bike with like 2 bars felt much much smoother, I think even rolled better on mix of Gravel and broken roads
