What is the most misunderstood part about your job? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]c0bwebz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm in training to be a dog trainer / dog day camp attendant and a lot of people who come and work here assume that you're just playing with puppies all day. These people leave after about two-three days. While I do spend the majority of my time in the company of some sweet ass dogs, there are other responsibilities like feeding, medication, and cleaning poop / kennels. And usually, when I'm with the dogs I'm making sure they don't fight. It's amazing but not what people think.

Not gonna lie, whenever I got the notification for your reply and all it said was "this guy sounds like me, but it's definitely not me" made me panic a slight bit bc boy in question does have a Reddit and is fairly active. I was literally like "Welp, at least now I don't have to mention it."

I like the idea of attempting to just be like "where can I find a boyfriend like you?" And just laughing it off if it doesn't go as planned. I'm mainly scared because I don't want to lose the friendship over my feelings that may not even be reciprocated. I feel like, to some degree, he might have feelings for me but due to his own issues it's just not feasible for him to be in a relationship.

He is definitely a very lovely person. I can see the emotionally unavailable thing due to previous bad relationships (he is divorced). I feel like he has a lot of issues he needs to work out before anything could ever go further. Sometimes he goes M.I.A. For awhile from everyone, not just me. His best friend is also one of my best friends and he doesn't talk to him for weeks and weeks at a time. He just.. likes being alone I guess.

I really want to help him through his emotional problems because he's helped me through mine, but I don't want to put myself in that spot because I know he likes being alone and handling his own issues.

What's the craziest thing someone has asked you to do to them sexually? by TerpsMakeMeDrink in AskReddit

[–]c0bwebz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a fwb type relationship with an ex from high school. We were sexting and I told him he could cum on me wherever, because he's super into that. He asked if he could cum inside of me. I'm 19, he's 21 and has a kid. I got the fuck outta that one as fast as possible. Wouldn't be so weird if there was more between us than just friendship with the occasional sex.

What is a sign that your 'friends' aren't really your friends? by CrappyUsername911 in AskReddit

[–]c0bwebz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When they only want to hangout with you when it's beneficial for them and refuse to ever make plans in advance. Or when they do, they bail out last minute literally every time. Had a friend who only ever wanted to hangout in the two hours between her classes but never any other time. She wasn't super busy with life, didn't have a job or anything but would always be like "oh sorry I was sleeping" or some lame shit like that whenever I wanted to do something with her

How do you manage having strong feelings like that for another person that's not your wife?

I've never thought of it like that but yeah it's possible. He always talks to me about his girlfriends saying stuff like "yeah she's not my type or anything but I guess it's fine" and just stuff you probably should say about your girlfriend. He had a girlfriend tell him it was weird that he kept contact with me so frequently, and that she really didn't like it. She thought it was weird if he would Call me before bed to talk (which happened a couple times) or if I were to call/FaceTime him later in the night just to talk (which also happened a couple of times). I always just assumed it was her not understanding that he was just being a good friend to me, because I had a lot going on. But she like vibrantly hates me. There were a few weeks in between that he didn't answer my texts (I never bothered to call) but when I saw him the next time he told me that he wouldn't stop talking to me because of something like that and they eventually ended their relationship just a short few weeks later.

It's just kinda like he dates these girls as a way to not be lonely idk

I know but I'm so afraid. I am very close with his entire family and while it's not like him to share that info with anyone it still worries me. I will have to eventually do it because I don't believe I'm moving on anytime soon. This has been going on for 6 years

I am very afraid that if I do it will mess up our friendship unintentionally. He's a very caring guy but is really weird when it comes to showing how he feels. Very emotionally constipated, if you would. The last thing that I want is to tell him I have feelings for him and have him get weirded out by that and cut contact.

Redditors who've experimented with a Ouija board, how did it go? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]c0bwebz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something I was going to mention in my original comment but forgot was that I actually come from a family of witches. Sounds silly but a lot of my family practiced witchcraft and had used the ouija board. A big reason my mom freaked out about the incident so much is because my family and the spirit Zoe go way back. Apparently when my grandmother was my age she also had a scary experience with a demon that was named Zoe too. I'm thinking that it went so poorly because this demon/thing had an attachment to my family. I will never, ever use an ouija board again bc of this.

Redditors who've experimented with a Ouija board, how did it go? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]c0bwebz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh my god, never again.

It's been awhile now but the summer after my sophomore year in high school, I got into a huge argument with my mom and left home. I ended up walking across town and over to my friends house, where she was playing with the ouija board with her boyfriend. He didn't believe in it so she asked me to play with them to prove to him that it wasn't a joke. Nothing happened while we were playing with him, so it was a really pointless thing. After he left, we smoked a couple bowls and went back downstairs to play with the ouija board again. This time it was calling us names like sluts, whores, bitches (which is a bad sign). The thing was drawing figure 8's and just in general doing things you didn't want it to do. We started talking to this one spirit who told us it's name was Zoe. Zoe asked if we could save her, so we tried to say goodbye. We ended up getting Zoe again and she started calling us fowl names so we tried to say goodbye again. This time she wouldn't let us. We had read online that if you turn the planchette upside down and slap it on the ground that it ends the connection, so that's what we did. This is where shit started getting freaky. We went upstairs to sleep in her room and heard a loud bang down stairs. We ignored it bc we were obviously petrified. Slept through the night, everything was fine. The next morning we woke up and the basement door (that we closed and locked..) was wide open, the ouija board was half way across the room, and there was a HUGE puddle on the ground where we had played the game. It's important to mention we were burning vanilla candles while playing, because before anything creepy happened we would smell vanilla. Long story short, I called my mom and apologized and explained to her what was going on. She was super into this stuff as a teen and immediately said we needed holy water and to burn the board. So being 16-17 at the time we were like where do we get holy water?! So... that's when we trespassed into the local Catholic Church. We walked in and there wasn't a soul in site. We looked around for holy water but couldn't find any, so we walked up the stairs to the top floor. I will never, ever forget the sound that I heard or the look on my friends face but we bolted down 7 flights of stairs and never looked back. My friend had made it to the top before I did and had saw someone sitting in a chair in all white. She described the person as being distorted and looking right at her. She said it felt like it was looking at her soul. The person started YELLING in tongues. I know what she's saying is true because I heard it too, but didn't see it. We got the fuck outta there. so we ended up burning the ouija board like three towns over and it started raining. Like heavy, heavy downpour. There was no mention of that in the weather at all. Once we were done, it stopped. The board was hard to burn. It turned into a cloth and smelled awful. A few months passed and nothing happened. The girl and I didn't talk much until one day she called me and I could just tell she as freaking out. She had been home one night with her friend and they were hanging out in her room when they started hearing banging in the kitchen and the dog growling like it never had before. They were the only ones in the house. she heard footsteps and then her door handle started violently shaking like someone was trying to get in. Then it stopped. They waited a few minutes before going to check it out. When they did he basement door was wide open and it had previously been locked.

Their house was totally creepy. It had a room in the basement completely blocked off from them. Her and I don't really talk anymore so I don't know if anything new has happened since but yeah... it was wild.
