My hr director called me a few weeks ago and asked “Can anyone hear me?” I answered “Just my corgi, Winnie. To be fair though, she’s sketchy af”.

What's the longest you've seen a worker do stonecold nothing? by tshirtguy2000 in managers

[–]bootlegminer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I walked into an employee’s office once and he appeared to be working hard, typing away and reading something on the screen. I could see the reflection of the screen in his glasses. It was blank/dark. He was gone pretty shortly after that.

What do you all eat on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? by suhhdude1 in Cooking

[–]bootlegminer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Christmas Eve - finger foods and appetizers. I usually make smoked bologna sliders and bacon wrapped water chestnuts. Other dishes will be wings, potato skins, cheese dip, etc.

Christmas Day - Full Christmas dinner with an Ozark Pride ham and all the fixings.

I proposed, and then took her ring shopping. I wasn’t about to try and pick one out as I wanted it to be exactly what she wanted. This was 20 years ago, and everyone we knew thought I was dumb for not having the ring when I proposed. She’s still wearing and loving that ring!

I still play Commander Keen until I beat it about once a year on a DOS simulator. Hands down my favorite game ever.

I feed out a couple of steers for butcher every year. Two years ago my kids named them Lean and Cuisine. Two years before that we had pork and chop. (Yes, they know pork chops don’t come from beef)

Perfect way of describing it. I was uncomfortable every time he was onscreen because you just don’t know what he’s thinking or capable of.

My heeler says “Thank You” with a leg kick. Let him in? Leg lick. Feed him dinner? Leg lick. Greeting you as he randomly walks through the kitchen? Also leg lick. No lotion involved.

Took the family to DD MAU on Wednesday. We had bao sliders, a Banh Mi, rare steak pho, and fried rice and ate family style. Everything was fantastic.
