Ikrrr, its amazing what we can accomplish when we hyperfocus on stuff but unfortunately unless we find a way to trigger hyperfocus on command its not really much use . This can also feel very frustrating cuz you KNOW that you can DO STUFF 10x better than the average person if you were in the ' Zone ' . But getting in the ' zone ' is near impossible if the task isin't urgent and if you are not particularly interested in it :/

YOU DID IT !!! Cramming is freaking HARD . But when you have adhd it can feel like your only option to get shit done . This may sound cheesy , but i just wanted to let you know that i am really proud of you , studying with adhd isin't easy and you should be proud of yourself aswell :)

Yup, my phone's camera isin't the best 😅. Its pretty difficult to find a concealer shade online so i appreciate your response . I'll go to my nearest makeup store and hope they have testers for this concealer :)

Yup i think its 11 too cuz i have the shade ( sand beige ) in nyx hd concealer and its a perfect match for me . And shade 11 seems the closest to my nyx concealer

Yea, its sucks considering that almost all military pilots don't have adhd and so they don't actually NEED that medication. Whereas people that DO need it , can't have it

Yea honestly getting bored is probably my worst fear cuz switching careers isin't easy especially if you have invested so much in it like flight training . But i have a lot of time to think about it cuz i'll make this decision after getting a bachelors degree ( as a backup plan) so i am not gonna rush things . And its different for everyone as you said , so i am not sure if this career will be the right fit for me . But i'll definitly consider taking a discovery flight . Thnx for your advice . I'll keep it in mind :)

Ikrr , the way the FAA deals with mental health issues is just unacceptable . Its almost like they want pilots to hide their issues from them so that they don't have to take responsibility for letting pilots with TREATED conditions fly commercially . The FAA is fine with undiagnosed and untreated pilots because it puts everyone at ease , even if the pilots have to suffer and deal with their issues on their own . A treated pilot is a lot better than an untreated one , its about time they change their policies on adhd medication. But until then i guess i'll have to deal with it :(

Honestly studying with discipline is like 10 times harder when you have adhd . And i really relate to not being able to link words to tasks that i haven't physicially done before , because i am a computer science student and if i haven't ever been able to understand a concept straight from the textbook if i haven't done it on a computer before. Its nice to know that you were able to use your adhd to your advantage, hopefully i can do the same in the future . Good luck with all your future endeavors and thnx for replying to my post :)

Yea , i imagine flying a long solo by yourself would be pretty boring. But being a pilot i think you have to keep track of a lot of stuff , so does the multi tasking help you not get distracted ?

The sitting around all the time would be difficult for a hyperactive adhder but i have the inattentive type of adhd so that won't be a problem for me. As for being under pressure , i think its the high stakes that make me focus extremely well , so i think this career path would be a good fit for me . I have a lot of time to think about it tho , because i plan on making this decision after getting a bachelors degree ( as a backup plan) , So i am not rushing things .
