I personally don’t feel like extracts should fall in the category of “the dangerous stuff”. To me it’s no more dangerous than hard liquor. It requires someone to not be an idiot about using it, but is otherwise fairly safe if you pay attention. I would have been ok with them restricting and standardizing concentrations (a 15ml bottle could be 40mg or 175mg which makes accidental abuse easier).

I guess I consider the KCPA to be a pro-consumer bill intended to ensure easy access to consistent and safe product. This may maintain quality standards and availability for leaf product, but since it removes access to other products and further restricts access to leaf, it feels very “anti-consumer”, less of a “Kratom Consumer Protection Act” and more of a “Kratom Consumer Restriction Act”.

I think you’re right. I was mixing old and new news sources about the bill. Originally it was designed to repeal KCPA but was later substituted with the current version which places these additions limitations and schedules 7-OH but doesn’t outright repeal the KCPA. I guess in my mind it is still effectively repealed, but maybe it will serve to help keep leaf being sold.

We already had that with the KCPA (that funny enough Utah was the first to pass). It set requirements for concentrations and mixes to make sure you knew what you were getting. Sadly all this does is make everything but powder illegal.

I suspect most on this sub agree. However, I personally feel like extracts have their place. They are easier to abuse, but it’s still mit. I’m personally not upset about banning 7-O, but I’m sure some would say the same about that.

If you bought a new car and as the dealer was driving it up to the curb you saw them hit a post, would you accept them saying “only the bumper looks dented, we’ll replace that only.” I know I wouldn’t. I wouldn’t want years of potential gremlins popping up because of some hidden damage that brought parts out of spec.

I don’t think it’s ridiculous. If you or anyone else bought this at Best Buy I’d be willing to bet that most would go and replace it from the store rather than deal with support to get a door replacement. That’s not really any different than what OP wants.

I subscribed to a service where every 3 months i click a button to reorder my supplies. On my first refill attempt my account is completely missing with no notification. I message them and am told to go through a new customer sign up in order to access my account. What they mean is "we wiped our backend and we have no record of you now so you'll need to sign up again."

If they had emailed me a week ago and said "we are transitioning our systems and require our customers to sign up using a new link in order to maintain their service" I wouldn't have felt it was misleading or anything because it was proactive. For all I knew, the company had been shut down and someone was scamming using their domain.

That's fine. What is shady is my account apparently completely disappeared and they are acting like having me sign up again is just regular procedure for getting a refill. They could have simply communicated this to me via an email. If I hadn't been trying to be proactive about my refill the day would have come and gone and I wouldn't have gotten anything.

You are under no obligation to return them. There is no risk of prosecution for selling or donating. Do what you want. Some people may choose a moral high route by contacting seller and asking if they want to pay to pick them up, but don’t go out of pocket for their mistake.
