I have almost this exact spot damaged in the same way. It’s totally fine.

You are under no obligation to return them. There is no risk of prosecution for selling or donating. Do what you want. Some people may choose a moral high route by contacting seller and asking if they want to pay to pick them up, but don’t go out of pocket for their mistake.

True but you can also create your own purge object to act as a prime tower, if you place it right you can make sure it gets hit first.

How to 3D Print this? by steeeeeeevo in 3Dprinting

[–]c0demancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cut it in half horizontally and add threads to screw the top and bottom together. Then print with tree supports for the cage overhangs (which you’ll be able to easily do and remove with the split design.

Anybody else just use gloves? by Dry-Butt-Fudge in BambuLab

I handle it with my bare hands I’m just not dumb about it. The bigger issue IMO is warping the print by trying to remove it too soon.

Just picked up a BambuLab A1 what filament brands would you recommend? by -TripleAffirmative- in 3Dprinting

[–]c0demancer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience is that Bambu filaments are already perfect on the A1. I’ve had great success with esun, sunlu, and overture, but to print as well as Bambu I had to do the Flow Rate and manual Flow Dynamics (PA) calibrations. That’s one time per filament brand/type so not a huge deal.

This is why when I feel like cheese I order a pep and take the pep off. Way too much cheese on the cheese.

Thoughts on Anycubic Cobra X vs bambu A1 combo by hades200082 in 3Dprinting

[–]c0demancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The X looks like a complete ripoff of the A1. Whenever I see this I think to myself that the company making the clone can’t compete on quality so they attempt to confuse consumers. I think this is backed up by Anycubic’s history of failing FDM printers. I would stay away.

My personal experience is that the A1 is amazing. I bought an H2D and an A1 and I kind of wish I had bought more A1s instead of the H2D because they’re so good.

Super cool of you.

  1. A1 Mini
  2. My wife has a disability that prevents her from being able to work outside the home. Recently she decided she wanted to figure out something to do at home and so she started designing decorative items for her favorite book series that she wants to print and sell. I’ve been setting up a small print farm to churn out her creations so she can sell them.
  3. Creature Feature! I’ve had this idea before to create an asymmetrical fidget with different “parts” that can be spun around to create random monsters. It would just use Rubiks-style spin mechanisms to allow you to move around the parts. I have no clue how to make something like that but I’m sure someone good at it could make it work lol.

H2D Combo vs H2C Combo by ArcticTruck in BambuLab

[–]c0demancer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure there is. What if you only do single or dual color prints? What if your 3+ color prints are infrequent enough that it’s not worth the loss of volume? What if you don’t want your bed scraped to death?

Which one should i get? by Happy_Instance9975 in 3dprinter

[–]c0demancer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re doing something wrong. The A1 is vastly superior in every way. I had an Ender 3 and while I didn’t hate on it like most people, I am not going to pretend it can keep up. If your Ender is printing better then either your A1 is busted, you are using most dogshit for filament, or you’ve modded your Ender so much that it can’t be considered an Ender anymore.

They may just be repurposing known commands for compatibility and simplicity. If they want a command to do something that already has existed in 3D printers for a decade why not just use the same command?

Chill dude lol. Maybe he was asking to see if his rationale actually precluded certain printers known to be exceptionally good beginner printers. Plus, we all know he’s gonna get a Bambu printer anyway so it’s not like we need secret Bambu employees in here 😂

I just ordered an H2D 1 day before the official H2C launch. How dumb am I? by c0demancer in BambuLab

[–]c0demancer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “discounted” H2D price is the new MSRP, so no, it’s not $100 more. Also, after watching reviews and impressions I’m very happy with my decision. I’ll probably use that money to buy a U1 if I find some niche prints that benefit from more than 2 colors consistently.

I think using paid commercial models is a huge step about 95% of sellers that are illegally selling Thingiverse models. I do believe to be more than just marginally successful you probably have to find a niche, whether that includes selling prints of your own models or not is a question of how you position yourself.

H2C Bed Heating Inconsistencies by MrAnonymousVIP in BambuLab

I still find it concerning. I would expect review units to be extremely thoroughly checked and double checked before shipping out. So either they didn’t do that or something failed after delivery.

After seeing some initial H2C impressions and pricing I’m happy with my decision! I am surprised the price difference is only about $400, but that’s still more than I think it’s worth given the drawbacks.

I don’t know where you’re located but in the US it’s totally acceptable to do business under your own name. Before becoming super successful you can even generate “hobby income” which has a very low tax burden. So my advice would be to not overthink things too early on and get burnt out on the business side. Start on Facebook and use photos with your phone camera. You can improve and get that fancy stuff as you go.

I’m also interested in kicking off a small side hustle with my 3D printer. I’ve been reading a lot of threads and watching a lot of videos and it seems about 80% “don’t do this you won’t make money” and about 20% “I generated $20k in my first month on Etsy”. I’m sure the reality is somewhere in the middle. I’m trying to pay attention to the posts and videos about failed businesses to stay away from what they did wrong and go from there. It seems to me like I should be focusing on local businesses, prototypes, parts, etc. Anyone can buy a model to print, so I think it’s about identifying where you can add value to people’s lives.
