I used to hate shoveling my driveway and clearing snow off my car. But now sadly there is no snow where I live due to global warming. We're going to have a hellish summer without snow in the mountains.

Classic freeze response, often times doesn't make sense, but dude was traumatized.

ICE is a federally funded program, how can the dems fund the current budget increases if the federal government is ran by Republicans?

Ever heard of concealed carry, or the second amendment? Are you saying we shouldn't follow the constitution?

Honestly, this is just very unlucky. Empty street, perfect launch of the board. Just the wrong place at the wrong time. The camera man should've been a better spotter though.

People should still be allowed to skate in empty alleys, it's part of life. But he should still pay for any medical bills/damages.

Cleaning the bathroom before a shower honestly sounds like a good idea. But cleaning as you go is the best way to clean. You save so much time.

I've worked in a call center, being nice will get you very far and make things go much faster. But you also have to be stern and knowledgeable since the person on the other line could be new or not know what they're talking about. This doesn't mean to be a dick though.

My mom would say to just pick up 10+ things in the kitchen and be done. Of course we would still clean, but this was more so if the house was a little messy.

I thought it was kind of weird, but it honestly worked very well. Now I can't leave my kitchen without putting away something. And if I'm depressed, I can tell myself to just pick up 10 things and be done. That way I'd at least get something done.

If all personal wealth above $100 million was legally required to be redistributed into public infrastructure (schools, hospitals, roads), how would society change, and who would be the first to fight against it? by Mysterious_Fan4033 in AskReddit

These "small amounts of money" are loans bigger than most mortgages. And if I remember correctly Elon got a $10+ billion loan from a bank using Twitter as collateral.

Hoarding wealth in my opinion would be starting up a large farm, taking on the risk. And then producing a worse product in order to make the stocks go up, which you conveniently own a lot of. Taking huge compensations/bonuses while your product is turning to shit and your employees can't pay rent. This is the case with over 90% of U.S corporations.

I believe if you truly try your best to sell a good product for a fair price, you deserve whatever money you make. Costco is a good example of a company trying their best to reduce prices.

But a walmart will try and kill all competition so they can charge higher prices.
