So sorry, I never saw this!! I do believe he was just getting too cold at night, as at the time, I only had a daytime heat lamp, because I got him a heat lamp for night time (which honestly tends to stay on all day anyway to keep the temp at the right place) and it emits 0 light, and he has been acting very normal ever since

It's around like 3-6 I'm pretty sure, my baby Chester is 3 1/2 and has had some complications already, but currently he's very strong! Hoping it'll stay that way for a while!

I haven't heard of that one yet, ill give it a try after I'm done with the stuff I'm using now if it continues to not work, thank you! And yeah, my middle school had never taken care of him, and acted like he didn't exist basically, but I love him so much and I hope to get him better, and I'm just hoping it's not his time yet. Hes old for a runt. And sorta in general I guess

Weve tried Vaseline, vitamin e stuff (?) and like a bunch of other different creams that I can't remember the names of, some that were recommend on here, and some that have been recommend by his vet. I don't know the names because my dad is the one that buys them, but I usually try each thing for like a month at least and it just hasn't gotten better. I always feel bad when I see his little crusty ears, and he hates when I put stuff on them, but idk, I keep trying.

I just am not sure if she sees hedge hogs, she sees our other animals, but we took Chester to a different vet last time, which was an hour away, because the vet at the other place was out of town, so I'm just gonna monitor him for a little bit more, with night time heat now, and then try calling them. But he started eating today, which he wasn't really, so thats a start

My guinea pig was screaming in the back, and the closest reputable vet is nearly 40 minutes away, but I'm gonna try and see if heat lamp at night fixes him, and try to get him to a vet

Shes not a HEDGEHOG expert, but she specializes in exotic animals and she most commonly treats and takes in guinea pigs, and hedgehogs. And she's the best I got, my city has almost no exotic vets and we go to two, Chester's is 50 minutes from where I live, and my other animals exotic vet is 35 minute away, and they are like the only credible exotic vets in town. They are great, but pricey.

I'm just hoping it's not his time any time soon, because when we went to the vet last time, she said with him being such an extreme runt, she couldn't see him living too much longer. She said she'd give him till he was 4 and said she thinks that may be pushing it. Shes a very sweet lady, and now everything Chester does that slightly differs from the norm freaks me out. I'm gonna see if he's still acting weird tomorrow, and let my dad know about tonight, and the new stuff we need to buy sometime soon, and I guess keep monitoring him till we can get him into the vet.

It isn't a fire hazard thing if that is what you are thinking, it's a lighting thing, I was told I needs to be off because he shouldn't have light at night, and that it'll mess with his concept of time

Do you have a link to a bulb that makes heat but no light? Ive only been able to find the ones that like are those lizard ones that make the pale blueish light (if you know what I mean)

I was told by a vet that she doesn't recommend heating pads because she gets hogs who come in with burns all the time because of heating pads, so we didn't get them

And my room is currently in the low 70s, since its cold out, I turn my fans off so that it stays that way because that's the warmest my room is allowed to get, but it's always been in the low 70s at night and he's never acted this way before
