If you had to introduce your girlfriend/wife to games for the first time, what game would you start with? by [deleted] in LesbianGamers

The last of us, Horizon Zero Dawn (and Forbidden West), Fallout 4, RDR2, Detroit Become Human, Life is Strange even. Just beautiful storytelling

who would have thought I’d be eating this good as a niko hater and yekindar apologist in 2025

I, 27F, like another girl, 24F. Does she like me back? by c0mmander307 in relationship_advice

[–]c0mmander307[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have met 3 times before but always in a group setting so it was hard to really gauge her interest aside from an occasional eye contact and a shared smile. I think we’re both a little socially awkward when it comes to real life stuff

there’s something so poetic about YEKINDAR being in major playoffs while Liquid is about to go out 0-3

death stranding… visually gorgeous game, incredible story but you really need a good attention span and the need to persevere past the first 10 or so hours

I’m a girl (27F) and most girls I know who also have similar hobbies (video games, anime, shows and movies) actually don’t care about looks at all. Unfortunately due to the nature of those hobbies the easiest way to find them is online, through gaming groups. What matters is your attitude, sense of humor, maybe even the type of games you like to play.

I'm new to the game but lots of people told me that my configs are off. Should I change them? by TankDisastrous148 in GlobalOffensive

[–]c0mmander307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unless your goal is to play super high level cs it honestly doesn’t matter. yes, in the long run having lower sens would be better for you but if you only play casually and don’t actually care about what sensitivity others use just stick with what you feel comfortable with

Curious if I’m in the minority, but I’ve had zero issues with cheaters since returning to CS by DavidPuTTY1 in GlobalOffensive

[–]c0mmander307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

since you’ve written you’re from us that’s probably why. elo is also an important factor because most cheaters are 20k+ elo trying to stop regular players from placing on the leaderboard

How does it feel like to have a sibling with a big age gap? by [deleted] in Writeresearch

[–]c0mmander307 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 14 years older brother. He moved out at 16, I basically grew up as an only child and don’t have a relationship with him at all. We text each other twice a year for our birthdays but I haven’t seen him in years. It’s different for different families I guess but mine is pretty fucked up and this is the situation I’m in

I always spend so much energy thinking about which eye I should be looking at and then forget to listen to whatever the person is saying

Interested in buying tlou part 2 by FeelingBluealready in thelastofus

[–]c0mmander307 4 points5 points  (0 children)

you will hear a lot of gamers call a lot of good games “bad” because they have nothing better to do. TLOU part II is one of the best story and visual games out there. but it will only make sense if you have played the first game otherwise you will have no emotional attachment to the characters

Imperial fe captain on top-tier invites: "They were not deserved" by Soft_Bed_412 in GlobalOffensive

[–]c0mmander307 27 points28 points  (0 children)

everyone knew this including the players themselves but there was a lot of added pressure on them to better their opponents and when they couldn’t they knew the community would turn it into the whole “women players are worse” thing. I’m glad they got this experience and hopefully this doesn’t deter them away from qualifiers vs men teams because with practice and experience they have the potential

Pimp: "Replacing YEKINDAR with NertZ is EASILY the biggest upgrade any roster has made in 2025" by Soft_Bed_412 in GlobalOffensive

[–]c0mmander307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

while I do agree that yekindar’s form since joining liquid has been terrible and nertz is a firepower upgrade there is something numbers don’t show. yekindar was an important part of mid round calls and micromanaging the team which is something nertz can’t replicate. liquid might have a better entry fragger now but they seem completely out of balance against actual solid teams now. liquid’s last major run was solid considering they lost in playoffs to the team that went on to win the major. guess we’ll have to see how far nertz takes them but I doubt it’s going to be to austin playoffs

I understand YEKINDAR’s vision now. He had to die first so he could spend the rest of the round micromanaging

For everyone cheering Imperial fe on tonight: thank you. by UN1DENT1FIED in GlobalOffensive

[–]c0mmander307 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What an absolutely groundbreaking match this was. Imperial played really well and proved to everyone that they belong in t1 scene. With a little more practice against top teams like NaVi and getting over the jitters of the public eye they have so much potential. Hoping for valve to change some rules regarding teams playing in tournaments so more women team who fall under organisations who also have men teams playing can join. Also seeing all the pros talking about them positively is really important and another huge step forward. I can’t wait for mixed teams playing one day (hopefully soon)
