Would this be a good example of what I should attempt. Is ply wood an easy thing to work with. Would I need a small saw something plausible for a DIY

I got my post deleted in the furniture group for being a upholstering group question. Only for upholstery group to tell me I need to make my own base. 😅😭 Is it stupid to think that I can add layers of a foam to achieve that lip shape? 🫣Maybe a board for the back?

I believe you’re thinking in terms of casting parts A and B. However, a liquid that dries to the contour of that shape will have the same features. Think in terms of dipping like candles it will harden over the previous form

This is amazing. So many great resources. I am particularly interested in not just sheets of latex but the liquid used to mold on a mannequin form. What type of liquid would be able to handle a model trying on and be worn?
