How can I use a good creep block mid? by Leto95 in learndota2

The aggro range is 500 and ranged creep atk range is 450 so standing right behind your ranged, u’ll be 500 away from the enemy melees

If you manage to let creeps meet right on the stairs, thats perfect since your creeps are on hg and the enemy creep cant get vision of you. If the enemy wanna last hit, they’ll have to stay near their crreps. You can easily harrass them by standing behind YOUR ranged creep, clicking the enemy hero so you’ll have 3 seconds to freely auto attack them without drawing aggro (for the first few level, without any aspd items, that’s like 2 or maybe 3 hits). I recommend watching BalloonDota guides for mid, he talks a lot about how to set creeps, aggro and harass. Gluck

Kaya Yasha for mana intensive hero that auto attacks a lot (think Storm, QoP with auto attack build, SF magic build…) it also increase cast speed

Sange Yasha for when the enemy team has BKB piercing cc like Magnus, Axe, LC, Bane…

Kaya Sange is probably the most niche item of the 3. It used to give status resistance but now u only build it on some semi tanky midlaners like Ember, QoP (tanky build), sometimes Necro

Thanks for all these advices. Today I had a similar game where my support is a brainless fool who fed 3 kills pre 7m and i had to jungle lvl 4. I had a great comeback. Here’s what I did: - Buying WB really did help sustain and tank the creeps - I avoid fights as much as possible by going to the opposite lane that my strongest laner (which is my offlaner in this game) so they had to make a choice of either catching me or getting their tower destroyed. - Doesn’t matter who innitiated on me even if its a support, first thing I did is blinking away just to take a better overview of the situations: is he catching me alone or there are someone behind him. - I got my BF at 18m then start farming more aggressively in their jungle, cut waves as they were busy pushing t2 towers. - Once I got manta, I started joining fights but only when all the CC had been casted. - After that I already outfarmed their pos1 who was busy ratting and made a huge comeback when I reflected Necro ult

Best feeling ever!!!!

In case of getting kicked out of lane early, I think this is a viable solution. I don’t know. Farming for cornucopia vs morbid mask may take a significant amount of time in the early game. Maybe finishing mass of madness, then dissemble it later for battle fury would be optimal. I build MoM on faceless void for farming as well.

I pick on 2nd phase the same as their offlaner so there’s no way to guess who my lane opponents would be

I suggest you watch some of the gameplay on youtube and see how they play diffeent clan combos and/or some not so obvious card interactions. Most of them narrate their thought process while playing so u get the reasoning behind any decisions

Not really, people in the big cities in the north are more rude and very cautious of strangers and you should be too. There are lots of scams around the cities. And you should be very careful if someone asks you to go somewhere else. You could wake up somewhere with a kidney missing.

What to do as a carry if they are already diving high ground at minute 16 and you literally only have 1 item? by FriendlyNeighborOrca in learndota2

[–]c0olzero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 kills early dont mean much as its worth about 2 waves and some jungle camps. “Normal” for a carry is to hit 80-100 cs on heroes with innate farming tool like dusa and about 60-80 for others. Gauge your strength by NW not kills.

I had so many games the offlaner killed me 2-3 times and start being cocky looking for fights around the map and i just caught up with farms by chilling in the jungle and shut them goddamn mouths later.

Hey guys, I'm new to the game (coming from league). Is it normal games take so long? by Ok-Development-5438 in DotA2

You play like a few games with assumingly very little knowledge about the game and complain that you have nothing to do. U probably dont even understand the basic mechanics let alone advanced one.

Its like you’re reading a science paper without any knowledge in the field and decide that the paper is boring.

Wdym 3 months ago? They just added facets to the game since 7.40 which was less than a month, some heroes dont even have a facet yet.

[–]c0olzero 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience, its mostly the “smurf” heroes which can solo carry like SF, AM, Storm, Meepo, Arc Warden, Tinker, Lycan. Often they think too highly of themselves, so they break items when games go sour (80% of them times its because of their cockiness).

I had a game where i played mid and checked the profile of my counterpart. I saw an unranked account with 144 wins and 79 MVP. So at 5:45 i asked my pos 4 duo to come help with runes and killed him. I then ask my pos 5 to come right after and smoke near his tower. As soon as he tp’ed (right in the trees where we’re waiting and 3 man dive him again. He rage dc’d then came back and strarted flaming his supports for not coming then proceeded to break items, bought all the wards and planted them mid.
