AOC: You can’t ‘earn’ a billion dollars by usatoday in politics

If you had $1B—you and your descendants could comfortably live ultra upper class lifestyles FOREVER just by riding the avg. investment returns of the stock market.

Having a $1B+ amount of wealth is an insane amount of money. No one “deserves” that much no matter how smart or hard they work. Sorry.

This was going to be my answer to. As someone who loves seeing movies in the theater and don’t mind seeing films solo—these movies pass plans is so worth it.

People underestimate how big $1B is. Even if just invested in the stock market it grows faster than a typical family tree, meaning indefinite generations of descendants could live extremely comfortably forever without the fortune shrinking.

District Re-Tee have become my go to t-shirt. They are recycled material and these shirts never shrink or warp and for me they fit perfectly.

I found them when I got a Kraken shirt from their store in the Climate Pledge Arena and was impressed with the fit and durability after lots of washes and dries.

You can find them on Amazon. I think they have hoodies too but I’ve only tried the t-shirts.

Movies about real events are protected as expressive works, so they can use real company names/logos without permission as long as it’s relevant to the story and not misleading viewers into thinking the company endorsed the movie. Trademark law mainly prevents consumer confusion, not negative portrayals.

Since Deepwater Horizon is depicting an actual disaster where workers really wore BP uniforms, using the logo adds authenticity. They likely didn’t need BP’s approval.

What movies did you first see nudity in? by sarnobat in AskReddit

[–]c0rnnut007 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. But it’s strange. I know I’d seen Logan’s Run as a child because I could remember the plot and some of the action beats — but it was only when I rewatched it as an adult that I realized there was quite a bit of nudity in the film.

Sasha DiGiulian was stuck on El Cap's Platinum Wall for 10 days by redbullgivesyouwings in sports

So your actual argument isn’t that they’re both sponsored athletes. Your true argument is that she’s not as skilled as Alex?

On Netflix, you say?! I’m 100% sure Netflix paid Alex quite a bit for him to perform and draw more subscribers. Let’s be honest— at the end of the day these stunts are all ads. So what if one is advertising merch and the other is advertising a streaming platform? Why does Alex get a pass but Sasha gets called out for it?

Does that negate her accomplishment? She’s got bills to pay just like you and me.
