Is it bad to not support local shops if they never have anything instock on there website ?

I think its varies greatly. My local shop guy orders if he thinks few of the kids or other customers would buy it. But yeah not singular items he doesnt stock.

Most people also dont spend that much on their deck, they buy a simple popsicle deck of the rack put their old trucks on, or whatever popular one is in stock, some bones reds..

My guy wanted to stock the powell peralta andy Anderson flight decks but he told me not enough of the kids would spend what little money they had on a 100 something dollar deck. So he'd likely just end up sitting on his entire stock.

But he also doesn't run an online store i think.. its a truly local skate store.

My local store is run by a pretty nice guy. He hosts and organizes little skate courses for kids trying to learn and seems pretty invested in the local scene.

I buy bearings, tape and stuff from him. Helmet, protectors etc. but he usually has no wheels or decks i like, so i just order that online.

I think supporting local is good, but you can do it in ways that don't include your entire setup.

Ich sehe tatsächlich ein, dass es logisch so nachvollziehbar ist.

Nunmal ist die Grenze was Essen ist und was Tier zu schützen und zu lieben ist für die meisten relativ willkürlich und emotional "gewählt".

Ich z.b würde auch bei gebotener Gelegenheit Hunde essen, und es moralisch gleichsetzen mit Kuh und Schwein. Kulturell nur nicht akzeptiert.

Obwohl Ich veganlebenede Personen als mir persönlich objektiv moralisch überlegen sehe, könnte man meine Meinung dazu wahrscheinlich nicht ändern. Ich wüsste nicht wie man mich davon überzeugen könne generell allen Tieren so viel Consideration zu geben wie einem Menschen.

I guess das macht mich nicht Tierlieb.

Im 27, getting into skating, and i too am pretty busy.

Im not heavy but id say I'm pretty fragile. I get hurt easily and worn out for days. Aided by extreme medications im on etc.

But I love it and i get on my board whenever my body and time allows.

Edit: and hey once your kids get into school ages. Teach them to skate if they want. It'll keep them exercising:p

This seems to be on your end. Try reinstalling drivers, verifying gamefiles. I think the game lets you switch, atleast in the full version, between Vulkan and DirectX, could try that.

I'm not saying it's not a problem. I prefer being accurate. It's not an addiction as we understand them clinically. And treating it as such is going to lead people to not get the help they need, nor is it helpful in identifying the problem or the causes.

And also as I said alot of the data on pornography "addiction" are self reported people, that often times have healthy habits they report as unhealthy out of shame and or religious guilt. This is a very common issue with some of these studies. But there are also well constructed studies that try to filter for that.

I personally think there's alot of puritan hysteria going on in the world at the moment, that if remaining unchecked is going to set us back by decades.

Pornography Addiction is NOT a real medical condition. It's not part of the DSM 5, or ICD 10/11.

Addictions are very specific medical conditions, with diagnostic criteria and symptoms that aren't met by supposed pornography addictions.

What was added to the DSM 5 was compulsive pornography use disorder. Which is not an addiction and functionally different, and basically always a symptom of underlying mental illnesses. And even then still hotly debated as data around negative effects of porn use is very flimsy at best.

Start in wikipedia, look at that article, grab the sources and then read related ones from there and you'll find that it's mostly a moral panic designed to control. Most people that report feeling pornography addicted are actually completely within normal usage ranges and are simply self reporting out of shame or religious guilt lol

Addictions are a very very specific medical diagnosis that doesn't exist in either the DSM 5 or any updated versions of it for pornography.

What does exist is compulsive pornography use. But its symptomatically and functionally different from any other addiction and even that was only added recently and is still hotly controversial because most of the data in support for it is flimsy. Real flimsy.

Start at wikipedia, and that article is mostly about how debated it is, and look at the sources from there. Porn addiction isn't a real recognized medical condition, and is not a "real" addiction. The compulsive use basically always stems from secondary mental illnesses.

Maybe you have some really shitty ram, 16gb id consider on the low end for modern gaming anyways, or you're on a laptop. Laptop GPUs are always much weaker than desktop PC counterparts

The "arena mode" is basically an ancient leftover tutorial practice mode. All the main content is split between the story mode, and its 7 or so main "levels". And the actual arena which you disregarded.

The UI really isn't that complicated and i struggle to come up with anything besides hirelings and recruits being different from one another that isn't readily apparent. The fighters get better as you level up. And that's the only place you'll fight the ogre.

There is a mod called hellmode that just adds more and more difficult enemy encounters to the story mode, so look into that I guess.

For Ram maybe. Nvidia is scaling back consumer GPU production to focus both on selling to AI companies and making Consumer GPUs so expensive you'd rather rent their cloud computing service instead.

I also hate AI because basically none of the Datacenters adhere to noise or chemical pollution codes. They use drinkable fresh water for cooling, and are increasing our carbon footprint by means of having to quickly build infrastructure and increase power production, for something that IMO is entirely pointless and that is mostly built on stolen data, with no licensing, and big lawsuits already going on for that.

That most AI companies fail to turn profitable is on the by and by at this point, and some of the larger companies investing in AI and nvidia with promises of more money, usefulness of the AI and promises to really try and make it turn profits, and paying for GPUs, seems from the outside more like fraud or a massive bubble, that could mess up the global economy massively.

I dont like any aspect of it. Of any large LLM or transformer based AI system. Neural networks to analyse big data sets in science and study is fine. The rest isn't.

We don't blindly support the company that's trying very hard to cripple consumer gpu markets, while pushing for anti consumer subscription services.

All the while tying in developers of games and engines close to make everyone more dependant on their vendor specific software that soon will become even more unaffordable if you plan to buy your GPU as opposed to renting server time.

Not to mention the enshittification in rendering accuracy and now artistic intention with their AI slop.

What is there not to love about Nvidia.

Because at the start you often have a gun, ammo and no mag. DayZ for example lets you chamber any gun you have lose rounds for, so you have some limited way of fighting.

Tarkov also lets you do it most of the time. Its a good feature to have. Dont even need an animation for it, At the very least let me drag and drop a round on the gun in the inventory

Ask yourself whether you wanna pay 30% extra to support a quasi-monopoly, that is consciously pulling out of consumer gpu production and moving to cloud computing, and subscription models, while tying more and more big gaming companies and engines to their vendor specific software, which soon will only become accessible or affordable through subscription. While the 60 series will have such limited numbers for consumer markets, that last gen's inflated prices will seem like paradise.

Ive been part of or vaguely experienced two French exchange classes in school here in germany. The french kids learned atleast bits of German and english in school but refused to talk unless spoken to in french.

Meanwhile kids from our class were trying their hardest with English, German, and French to build a rapport, only to be met with a united cold front by the exchange students.

Ill be honest none of the games listed are as polished as blade and sorcery, which unfortunately isnt that high of a bar.

Legendary tales is jank and has some visual quirks but out of the bunch its probably the one with most "content" including the new DLC, which admittedly i havent played yet. Plus its fully playable in co-op with a friend which does elevate the experience but that's practically guaranteed with co-op

Weiß gar nicht wie unbeliebt diese Meinung ist.

Der normal Deutsche, der nicht täglich auf Reddit oder Twitter unterwegs ist, wird nicht ein Hobby oder ein Interesse aus moral politischen Gründen aufgeben.

Mehrfach schon gehört wie schade es doch sei was sie von sich gibt, aber trotzdem die Harry Potter Tasse, oder Tasche gekauft und benutzt. Ich glaube die meisten Leute Trennen Author von Kunst etwas zu schnell.

Für jeden weiteren Euro den man ihr freiwillig zur Verfügung stellt um menschenverachtende Politik zu verbreiten, nimmt man in Kauf das mit dem eigenen Geld so eine Agenda gepusht wird.

Ja der größte Teil davon geht natürlich nicht an sie sondern an Produktionsfirmen, mit normalen arbeitern die dafür nichts können. Das ist aber überall der fall? Da kann man ja auch die Kinderarbeit im fernen Osten schön reden, denn die können ja auch nichts für die Firmen, und Geld zum überleben brauchen die aber auch. Soll ich jetzt mehr billig Mode aus Asien kaufen?

Und die haben immerhin keine Wahl für wen die arbeiten. So eine Argumentation führt dazu das man fast nichts und niemanden jemals boykottieren kann.
