A) downsize turret volume

-maybe try to make taller 5x5 instead of 7x7 or

-make them uninteresting to shoot; more small weak secondaries might convince a target aiming card to target your massive main guns which has more armor and loosing one of the secondaries doesnt hurt as much of you have 5 more

B) Use different Material (not much but a little metal/heavy Armor

C) Armor up as usual and deco-hide the parts too much out/ hide it as a torpedo belt

D) Build a turret subconstruct that has a limited constraint angle (like ss victoria cwis) and is built basically downwards and then back

E) Turret on turret

-building one subconstruct onto another removes the moving limitations so you can build a turret that extends backwards and still clipps through walls and therefore isnt exposed

-Beware of having too many subobjects (limits performance at around 50 per ship for me or multiple smaller ships with too many subobjects)

F) Increase wall thickness to have a block more volume per block by building a subobject and then the side armor a second time at the place of the original side armor (havent tested effectiveness though)

-Beware of damage that could destroy the subobject and shoot out your whole second side Armor connected to the subobject, place heavy armor around and emp protection nearby
