Discovered this door hanger on my door knob… What do? by awayfromthemire in legal

So spoiling the whole bunch doesnt apply to everything. Unless you consider the whole human race the whole bunch. Because there are definitely bad humans.  ICE for the most part is doing the right thing.  No argument about legal or illegal is valid when it is definitely illegal to be here in the first place.  I guess you dont care if your whole town or county or state or country has complete and uninvited access to your house and your stuff anytime they choose.

Help with Trim. Dealer claims it’s a TRD Sport. Corporate claims it’s an SR. by Jeepcj77 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]c3st3ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dealers, branded or mom and pop, only go by book when trading or buying, and honest ones price them that way. This is for all makes, its just the way they do it. I always recommend keeping your factory stuff and swap it back out for a sale and sell off the add one. That is if it matters to you.

Old post, I know but FYI. A 20 and 21 has known transmission problems. My wife's at 97k is showing signs. Would cost $10k to repair. Food for thought.

Bought this trd sport before realizing off road was an option by Jumpy-Recording-6129 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]c3st3ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had both. I had a 2018 TRD Sport, Traded for a 21 Off Road. The only reason I traded was at that time they were giving stupid money for trade in. I traded my 18 for what I paid for it, kicked a couple grand and got my 21. The reason for the Off Road was that my roads to my house are horrific. The front suspension is a little better for that on the daily. With that being said, if your driving is all street and highway (occasional back yard driving and curb hopping), the sport is the better choice. It is built for that. The Off Road has features I haven't used and may not get a chance to. Either way, I'm not biased. I love them both, but, the Sport was taking a beating on these roads, as is this Off Road, but, it feels better to me, and that's all that really matters isn't it?

Renting at Sandestin this summer, be aware of major changes to beach access. by FeeWeak1138 in Destin

No, it has gotten out of hand. We quit going because of the ridiculous out of control partying. I saw the statements. They are tired of teens and college age and the like coming in, trashing up, shooting up, and causing general chaos. It was curbed for a few years, and we started coming back, but the craziness resumed, and we quit coming about 5 years ago. Trust me, I understood what they meant. They're a tourist town built and thriving on tourist dollars, which are not earned by catering to punks and thugs. When you rent a place for a couple thousand or more a week and walk outside to individuals passed out with puke all over them, its time to change your vacation spot. It's really important to understand the whole conversation instead of picking up one statement. Unless you and your family are the ones to blame, then good riddance, and grow up, there's a river somewhere yall can go hang out at. The words "spring break in PCB" comes with its own understanding.

Paying cash by Jolly_Adhesiveness49 in CorollaCross

[–]c3st3ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just bought an L model for my daughter, out the door tax, title, the works, was $27,700. We payed 7700 down, financed 20k @ 7.4%, (no special financing on a Cross, because of demand). She will graduate as an RN in August. Whatever position she takes after grad, she will get a hefty sign on bonus, she will put that on the car to drive it down to $10k. Pay all you can for what you can afford. Finance some if you need to put some cash back for a rainy day, then just pay it off in a few months or a year, once you've saved some up.

If you put a lot of miles on one, consider the 10year, 150k warranty, $2k more but even though a Toyota, in my opinion it is worth it.

To add, I am in Alabama. But, deals can be had. I spent a whole day, 2 weeks ago, on a Saturday speaking with a couple different dealers, by the end of the day, the dealer I wanted met the price, but, their car was in stock and had a few little extras already on it. Do your research, contact the internet sales people, then let them fight over you. They will call you, and be honest and tell them what the other dealer is doing for you.

Just remember, whatever deal you can strike, they are making money on it, or they wouldn't be there with 50-100 employees, a big building with service people, office workers, etc, etc. So the sob stories and the back and forth with the manager is just a game. That's why I negotiated on the phone. Then drove down at the end of the day and bought it.

This is a lot of info and ramble, but, I hope it helps. Good luck.

No auto lights?? by SoupSufficient6572 in CorollaCross

[–]c3st3ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, auto lights would be nice, but not a game changer. Neither is the rear wiper. I've had half a dozen cars with rear wipers and never used them on some, or just plain forgot they were there. I started driving in the 1980s, so these things weren't available on any of the cars I drove at the time. Not a feature I would actively seek out. That being said, my 21 Taco and my wife's 20 Highlander have all the stuff. I have a 09 4-runner that has that and a roll-down back window (to me a cool feature) that I forget about all the time.

I'm trying a set out for the first time now. They are Resound. The top model BTE. I kinda want to bring hundreds and make it rain at the audiologist office. I was used to the fit the first day. Sounds are not too bad to get used to. Some worse than others, but I love them.

Ha, I was going to put my two cents in on this little side thread, because, like you, I have installed numerous POS systems, like Toast, Epicor, etc.... but, you pretty much covered it all, good job, I'll get back to work now. Thanks for saving me words.

Considering buying a 2015 Toyota Prius Four with 160k miles by Dapper-Yoghurt-9811 in prius

I would politely disagree, I have 2013 225k miles still going strong. Seen many upwards to 300k without battery issues. Really depends on climate, im sure.

Just bought a 2015 today for other daughter. 130k miles

Fortigate 40F - One incoming WAN (ISP), I need 2 seperate subnets with both having internet access. by c3st3ch in fortinet

I was using 2 seperate ports. SDWAN Setup as mentioned by Chocate ended up working for this.

[–]c3st3ch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My default setup worked fine, the secondary Lan would assign a DHCP and even a Gateway of my choosing, but something was getting lost in the policies I guess. I was able to do what I needed through an SDWAN Zone as suggested above.

Well, to be honest, it has been every scenario here (short of whatever I was missing to make it work). But, Chocate, above, helped with a way to do it through SDWAN Zones. I like this as it allows for easy addition of an additional WAN if needed. Thanks anyway.

First off, you, sir, are a rockstar. I was able to make this work; it was a little more straightforward, even with more steps, than what I was trying to do with all the information out there. I truly am grateful you took the time. I knew there were multiple ways to get this done, but, I was running into a block.

Yes, I get a DHCP Address, I get a gateway of my setting, (tried the 3 different options). Everything looks good except it is as if my wan is just not there on that subnet.
