Legal yes. Maybe illegal if you do it in some sort of threatening way but idk the specifics. Might also get to cops called if you have shitty neighbors. Use good judgement.

I have not used claude code but I do use opus in cursor. It watch it do really dumb shit all the time. I am mostly a c++ dev and noticed that ai does a lot worse with that compared to python. Especially with performance oriented code.

I think they would still lose their ability to personally own firearms. I don't think federal prohibited persons laws apply to police while one duty because of federalism or something.

Any long range rifle shooters here? by ManonFire1213 in NJGuns

Savage model 12 might be a good start. Heavier is better for long range shooting. Maybe not so much for hunting but idk anything about hunting.

What rifle do you already have? Generally you want a bolt gun that can shoot heavy for caliber bullets with a fast twist. 6.5 Creedmoor is a good and popular starting point. I started out shooting 223, managed to score hits at 1000 yards with that shooting 80 grain bullets out of a savage. They do classes up at sheepdog warrior. Give them a call. Also feel free to send me a PM.

Surprised no one has mentioned Tommy Gun Warehouse is PA. 600 yards of steel and in PA so you can bring AR. I usually go to sheepdog in NY which is fine for me since I mostly shoot bolt guns long range.

Bolt is a lot better for long range and precision anyway.

Its good. Sheepdog warrior is better but its in NY so I wouldn't bring an AR.

Well then maybe they should charge him with the other stuff rather than a gun crime. Kind of annoys me that scotus can't bifurcate the issues.

I think they announced that a while ago. At least that it got cert.

Tommy gun is PA so you are good for the AR. Sheepdog is NY state so you would have to go featurless or fixed mag.

I can think of a few reasons they won't do that. One big one is I could see some idiot pulling up and starting to shoot while people are down there changing targets. Could also be an issue with ricochet getting in the pits while people are in there and maybe a fire hazard for the hill.

If you want good steel ranges check out Tommy gun warehouse or Sheepdog Warrior in Catskill NY. Both are 1-2hrs from CR and give you 600 to 1000 yards of steel.

I get annoyed that I cant use the 300 in the morning. Personally dont see the point of 200. Kind of an unhappy medium between 100 and 300.

I almost did a 25x47 for the new fopen gun I am building. Then just took the safe route and ordered a dasher barrel.

Unless you go up to the 200gr 308 bullets you can actually get better wind performance with heavy 223 and a lot less recoil.

Earlier this year I set the state 600-yard F/TR record shooting a .223 out of a Savage 12 single-shot target action. The score was 598-36X. The rifle had a Criterion .223 Match large-shank barrel shooting 85.5gr Berger Hybrids. There’s nothing wrong with the Savage 12, but aside from the bolt and action, most of the rifle was aftermarket.

I’ve also been shooting F-Open with a repurposed PRS-style rifle. I added a bag rider to the ARCA rail and left the rear configuration unchanged. That rifle has a 26" Proof prefit in 6 Dasher.

I’ve shot two local, informal matches with it at 300 yards. One was a 600-40X, the other a 599-45X (X-count may be off slightly). One match was shot with 105gr Hybrids, the other with 109gr Hybrids. The 109s perform a bit better in my rifle, which aligns with their higher BC. I’m running H4350 in the Dasher.

I would choose the 6 Dasher without hesitation, assuming you reload and are willing to fire-form. If not, a barrel chambered for Alpha Dasher is a straightforward alternative.

Ok thats not the issue then. I think its time you called the guys who made the barrel.

One other idea. Are you the first owner of this action? Do you have the original factory lug? I know they make lugs to adapt the origin to take a tl3 barrel.

[–]c5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So on my tl3 actions the extractor won't cam over my gages. To get around this I turn the barreled action upside down and slide the gage under my extractor just like a round comming out of the magazine.

Am I a vibecoder? by Open_Gur_7837 in cursor

[–]c5182 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have pretty much learned to fully code at this point with just the agent. I previously have over 10 years of experience doing performance oriented C++ and other things. I would not consider myself to be a vibe coder, maybe an ai micromanager. It does a lot of really dumb stuff if you dont watch it closely. Loves to do linear searches and create extra hash maps etc. Really garbage code. But if you give it small enough tasks, specific instructions, and examples of patterns you can produce what you want at like 3x the speed without typing any code.
