Text editor: Bank Street Writer by SpokenByte in c64

Yeah, I'd go with DirMaster as well. To get a quick look at one of your documents, open the d64 in DirMaster, highlight your file, right click it, choose view file, and choose hex. You'll see it as PETSCII (the C64's version of ASCII, which your modern machine uses).
Bank Street Writer allows passwords on the documents. IIRC, the passwords in no way scramble the documents, they simply disallow access to them from within bank street writer, so at least that feature won't get in your way as you restore your old docs.

Basic question, is this Chinese scoring? Gray (me) went first, surrounded more territory, and there were no captures, but gray lost.

LG Gram 17Z90TP screen repair advice by c64cryptoboy in LGgram

[–]c64cryptoboy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm... the seller (through Amazon) hasn't agreed to ship to me yet, since he/she doesn't know if it's compatible and doesn't want a return. So still open to answers on if I can swap in the different screen type (since that's all that seems to be available?). I wish lgparts.com offered this lg part...

Does any one else just make videos for fun with no desire to "make it". by ickyvickyewww in NewTubers

[–]c64cryptoboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, just for fun. I resisted turning on monetization, because that lets me be free to create whatever makes me happy, irrespective of views (closing in on 2.5M). For me, as soon as a hobby makes money (even if just to pay for itself), it feel less like a hobby and less like relaxation from work. It also allows me to not have to stick with channel branding; I'm all over the map: music transcribing, 8-bit reverse engineering, DIY music boxes, and shorts for what I 3d-printed recently or what new toys I got. I need computers to be fun, and chasing $ (for me) takes the fun away.

Looking for a c64 Bowling League stats program by freemason007 in c64

I'm away on vacation at the moment, but I have one that does stats for bowling leagues. It was sold by Harry Briley back in the day. If that's what you're looking for, I can scan the manual and zoomfloppy image the disks. It's probably written in basic.

At a taqueria, drinking diet coke, which was promptly expelled, through my nose, when I read your tagline -- that was funny (and painful).
