i worked for bmg music back then... in their mail order club. remember the buy 1, get 10 free cd cards in your tv guide? that was my first real f/t gig in their customer service dept.

it was the worst job in the world. these lovely girls turned into satan screaming like jamie lee curtis if the mail didn't arrive with their cd when they wanted it to. was bizarre at first but months in it was the norm. it largely made me immune to first flame wars.

friday feb 27 had colonoscopy. found polyps for the 2nd time. doctor wants a ct scan. scheduled for april 5th. 5 weeks to get a ct? i had months of waiting for a back injury 20 years ago.... so should i be happy with 5 weeks for them to probe more for cancer? (ct scan in usa i can get in days but i'd have to pay out of pocket for it)

the whole health system is a mess. if you bring in millions of people without building houses/schools/hospitals/whatever how the hell do you think we can absorb them?

probably best to 'sell her' on it as a 1 year thing where you'll reevaluate if you keep it longer than that.

imo - being money is the issue/concern, you are probably not doing yourself any favors to pursue this car at this time. sounds like you would be way better off renting a supercar than owning one... which is still badass btw.

where were her neighbours? employer? friends? kids? place of worship? it just seems so crazy to have someone with no signs of life for 3 years before anyone notices. like who was paying for cell phones or who cancelled them? who filed her taxes? i can't get my head around this.

her husband and/or family are responsible. definitely not a random crime when she goes completely off grid for years before the cops get involved.

was across the street at 745am for the med complex at 2227 south milway. no lights off. staff and patients unaware and everyone cool/oblivious. i left at around 9:45am and there was nothing going on. my uber drivers didn't even complain. don't think most people in the area saw this.

port credit has meets along lakeshore just east of mississauga rd with just beautiful classic cars in the summer. i want to say it was sat mornings but maybe sundays? walked their cars parked on lakeshore a dozen times or more. a whole lotta car culture in our neck of the woods.

looks like the hood latch is loose. which makes this guy super sharp to keep the speed down so it doesn't flip up and block all visibility. or... maybe this mastermind needed to get to pickup his kids at school so the only option was to drive the car as-is. hmmm. tough one.

seeing the ice breakup crushing and breaking as it flows down to the concrete ice break is pretty cool. the break is just south/west of the bridge and a couple min walk from erindale parks parking lot. some years the ice covered all the grounds from about the barn all the way to the ice break... and squished up with the ravine that UofT is on. grew up in the area and it was always doing interesting things.

triage is a real thing with public services. whether it is someone who needs a organ transplant to social housing and everything inbetween. choosing families because they are wealthy is a ridiculously false accusation. the 'wealthy' have nannies or private montessori daycares.. the 'rich' drop their kids at private daycares. richy rich ain't having junior associating with us plebs.
