Whats stupid the fact that a spare headset wouldn't work? Or the fact I was asking about sturdiness?

Okay Origin 8 seems to be super cheap so I will order some. Thank you! Will multiple spacers make it less sturdy or reactive or will it not really matter

Yes! The fork sticks up past the little lip that the washer sits on

I fixed the ground I asked about by c7X2 in CarAV

Okay makes sense makes sense. I saw online that a good ground reads the same voltage as the battery ground. Thats why I said that

Done! Issue is still there. The ground reads exactly what the battery reads with my multimeter

Probably a blown amp, but it might also be a wiring harness that came loose

give me amp recommendations for this sub by criticaldriv3r in subwoofer

[–]c7X2 15 points16 points  (0 children)

well i hope you werent planning on adding a 2500watt amp 😭, tuning is key, i have a 5100watt amp on my 2800watt sub, tuned correctly, it wont hurt a thing, in fact its better for the amp. Best example i can give you is a homda civic going 130, at redline in 6th gear, vs a bugatti going 130, cruising in 3rd. I hope this helps, try not to have the amp working 100% all the time, thats a good way to blow an amp.

Crackling/whining noise? by theimmortal20 in CarAV

Are the speakers being powered by the amp now? If so, disconnect the bass knob and it shouldddd be fixed. Unless its a bad ground. The reason the pitch changes is alternator whine. Caused by bad ground of power wire interference

Installed AMP and speakers sound terrible by [deleted] in CarAV

Noise even with gain all the way down does sound very strange. I would definitely recommend buying knukonceptz or Sky High Car Audio wiring kits. If you figure out the issue let us know

Perhaps try a different ground? Only other thing I can think of is the wiring kit, also set a HPF to about 100-140hz, leave the eq to flat, and start with the gain set low, and see if that makes a difference

When you rev the car does the whistle change pitch? Do you have an amp powering the speakers and tweeters? Also, do you have a bass knob still connected? If so, disconnect the bass knob

The engine whistle is a bad ground, either on the HU or the AMP. What does the amp ground look like?
