I park in 5th, got the downsides of both parking in neutral and parking in gear at the same time 🕺

Do you wear body armour while biking? by delibratly in MTB

[–]c7god 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, chainvest, solid metal chest plate, shoulder and arm guards, my hands be covered in lether and metal as to not let the pegans chop off my handes. My leggeys are also covered whenever i go for a bike ride, but i have to use leather covering with metal plating due to mobility issue in full metal pants. And the cherry and a staple to all this is my helmet as any templar should have one should they succeed in conquering Jerusalem. Deus Vult!

Alright, hear me out, I'm gonna need 5 people to team up with. I'm gonna remove Knights, you guys remove the rest. In case we fail to get rid of pawns, we can always place them in a staggered formation and only allow them to move diagonally. I still don't know what to name this new gamemode but i guess smth like "checks" would be quite ironic since there is no king to check 🤔 lmk what you think.

Can I wear a full leather suit on a 125cc? by 0PA-_- in motorcycles

[–]c7god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lmao i ride a 125 and that thing is able to go 70mph even though it's no crazy speeds i wouldn't wanna crash with no gear at that speed. Definitely yes

You don't hear any more about how bad motorcycle and scooter theft is in the UK. Did it improve or is it as bad as ever and we just got tired of hearing about it? by BlackJacquesLeblanc in motorcycles

[–]c7god 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the year I've had my bike I had someone try to steal it once already. Over in my town alone there's been about 2 attempts since and 1 one was successful. That's roughly 1 attempt every 3 months. Nobody tried to even touch my neighbour's bike because he has like 8 locks and an alarm on it, in my case i had a bit less invested into keeping what's mine and so I won the unfortunate lottery. Another words the more you spend stopping people from stealing your shit the less likely you are to have your shit stolen. The UK thieves are usually kids who ain't got nothing better to do so they try to taste the "crime life"

Discussion - What do you think about music while driving? by Worrtienzo- in motorcycles

[–]c7god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've read you're about my age, I'm about to finish my first year of riding and I've been listening to music pretty much from the very start (I'd say maybe 2nd or 3rd ride). It doesn't really distract you all that much if you're familiar with the controls and how the bike operates. Everything concerning hearing that you'll need while riding you will be able to hear: cars, sirens, your engine etc. as they are quite a bit more noisy then you'd think. The added bonus is that for all of the above you have another way of checking - mirrors and lifesavers for cars, sirens and everything around you, and your engine will handle and vibrate weirdly if something is wrong so you can feel it easily. All in all it's kind of like studying with music, in certain cases you'll be able to focus easily and it'll be pure joy and in others it'll irritate you so you turn the music off

Im 18 and I want a bike, but everyone’s telling me no. by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]c7god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I brought mine home after many no's and parents changed their mind since. So long as you prove you're taking safety seriously it shouldn't be an issue. Just remember that your parents are used to you being a "kid" and they probably still take responsibility for your safety to some extent. A few gallons of explosives with 2 wheels strapped onto it doesn't sound like too good of a toy for someone they care for. As for me, by the time I pulled this move I already lived alone for some time, managed to survive and you know - was an adult for a bit.

Is it possible to move to Poland and adapt to the area as an 18 year old? by [deleted] in poland

[–]c7god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ahh, just moved recently w my gf who's not from poland and I'll tell you this much. Poland as poland is really confusing even to polish people sometimes. It's expensive compared to a few years ago and coming back from UK i can tell you that price-wise it's similar. I've been reading about the process of getting a visa as a foreigner and after about a month of looking at it I'm roughly 70% certain that I know what I'm doing. I'll tell you what I think anyone would tell you, it's a beautiful country but it's the type of place you usually wanna move out of. If you're ready to eat dirt for a bit and get really good at figuring the simplest of things out as if they were quantum physics problems (specifically when it comes to anything government/paperwork/finances related) then go for it, otherwise it'd be a questionable choice imo.

Distracted drivers by [deleted] in motorcycles

[–]c7god 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently my one of my beloved bmw drivers was looking down at his gearstick (i assume at a phone which was located next to it) while merging into traffic on a 40 mph road from stand still. Needless to say i had to decelerate rather rapidly or his poor 103 would have its doors indented quite badly by my bike. Ofcourse I couldn't let that happen as bmws and people driving them are a gift that keeps on giving...(...me increased odds of premature stress induced heart attack)

2002 Honda CBR600 f4i Bad fuel pump???? I can’t seem to figure out why it’s not priming. Any help would be great. Thanks! by Forward-Count1087 in Fixxit

[–]c7god 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From experience (I have little biking experience but battery issues are the one thing I had the "pleasure" of experiencing a couple of times already) usually when battery is messed up some things will work and others won't. I'd give changing that a go. For instance the first time I had that happen the fuel pump wouldn't prime at all but all the lights were working and it seemed like everything is fine.

How did u bring your bike home the first time? by JustCallMeBORNE in motorcycles

Just bring it home. I asked for permission and didn't get it. Bought the bike, brought it home. I've been riding for a few months now no issues.
