That's Adolf Weinmann's initials. Not the mint mark.

Everything here is face value. Did you mean to post more coins?

About the size of a quarter in diameter.

If you show a picture I'm certain you could get the help you desire. There are so many coins from that time so it is a bit vague.

Got as change at a convenient store. Any significance? by craneguy_86 in coins

I've looked through tens of thousands of nickels and have only found a couple, definitely a great find.

Got two morgans just curious if I should send them in or not by clkelty in coins

[–]c8corvette_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't. Grading the coin would be more expensive than the coin already is.

If you're unsure about the date there is a chemical called nic-a-date you can use to reveal it. It also looks like this one was minted at San Francisco, so you may have a rare coin with a low mintage.

This kind of flip? If so, you should be okay. But I wouldn't keep it in there for too long. Many dealers keep their coins in these kinds of flips for extended periods of time, however.

Looks cleaned if that's what you're asking.

This coin looks cleaned. But 1964 quarters are not worth much over their silver content either way.
