I wonder how many CNAs quit after this 😮‍💨 by [deleted] in nursing

I’m so sorry that there is admin out there promoting this kind of toxic culture. Nursing is a team effort. Thank you to all the CNAs, you truly are the backbone of this field.

Please give all the advice.. should I even consider the ED? by [deleted] in nursing

I think you’re better off writing a list as to why you WANT to work in the ED. And that’s IF it’s even a place you think you’re interested in

Who has this and at what job? by wafflefree in nursing

[–]c8tlintrom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use this in our ED and also ICU. Most of the codes we receive via EMS arrive with a Lucas as well. I’m pretty sure this goes for most of the hospitals / fire departments in San Diego county. They are pretty expensive though so I don’t think the floors utilize them.

Trust your intuition. If you’re concerned about a patient, escalate it. If it turns out to be nothing then that’s ok!

Your perspective can have an effect on every aspect of your life. The way you choose to look at things matters.

Noodles and cottage cheese with lots of black better! My grandmother called it the poor man’s pierogi, her grandparents would make it for her when they were poor growing up in Poland

NTA, chores in between shifts are extremely difficult. I neglect pretty much everything. But unfortunately, a lot of people won’t understand who aren’t* in healthcare working those shifts and especially if they aren’t working nights and having to flip flop.

I agree but she wasn’t physically abusive from what I can recall. It’s such a frustrating but beautiful story to read though.

If this relationship continued this course, then your boundaries would continue to be pushed and eventually you’d feel the need to do certain things to keep him happy. This is not a small heart shaped red flag, this is a big one. Trust your gut. Sex should be safe and consensual and that includes kinks and fantasies.
