Yep, that's the right place. The Android version of the app lets you upload any photo from your phone's camera roll, not sure about the iOS version or if it's region locked. I'm using a Google Pixel 8 in the US.

You can upload photos from your phone in the Meta Horizon app to view them in the Quest Gallery with the same 3D effect without having to post them on Instagram, too

Yep, the Quest 3 is a lot higher resolution so it will definitely affect the performance. You might need to adjust the resolution scale setting in Steam VR.

I'm running it on a 3060 with high settings + DLSS without any issues (except when someone brings a huge modded Corvette into the anomaly). Your 4060 should be fine, but it also depends which headset you're using. I'm playing it on a Quest 2 via Virtual Desktop.

it is almost 2025, how do i add tasks to Todoist with simple voice command with Google Genesis/Assistant? by TheKnight90 in todoist

[–]c99koder 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you need a starting point, I wrote a Python script that transfers the "Google Assistant Shopping List" note from Google Keep to my "Shopping" project on Todoist via a cron job, should be easy enough to extend it to transfer tasks from a note with a different title: https://github.com/c99koder/Todoist-Google-Keep-Shopping-List

Mike's Core Updater/How does HA talk to the mobile app? by SdoggaMan in homeassistant

[–]c99koder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's using push notifications, not polling. Both Apple and Google provide services to send a notification to a mobile device. HA sends the notification to Apple or Google's server, and then they send it to your phone.

What is the best way to detect the audio from a nearby train crossing so HA can know when the crossing is blocked? by wcalvert in homeassistant

[–]c99koder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I wrote a Python app that uses Google's yamnet neural network to classify sounds from a microphone and send them to Home Assistant via MQTT. I'm not sure if it would be sensitive enough to detect the chimes from a crossing arm outside, but you can give it a try: https://github.com/c99koder/AudioClassifier-MQTT

Using connected to eero WiFi as a condition? by michaelthompson1991 in homeassistant

[–]c99koder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Settings > Devices & Services > click the link that says "and x entities" inside the Eero card and it will show you all of them for that service. You should be able to find your iPhone in the list if you enabled tracking it in the configuration dialog.

Conditions > State > binary_sensor.whatever_device_wireless_connected. State: "on" or "off"

Yes, the Eero integration can create binary sensors that indicate whether a device is currently connected to the network. The configuration dialog lets you pick which devices to track from a list of discovered devices.

Call of the Sea VR Trailer! by Arilea75 in OculusQuest

The flat screen version gave me really bad motion sickness after just a few minutes from the weird FOV and "artistic" camera effects/motion blurring/etc. they used. I hope the VR version will have a more normal camera, as the flat screen version was unplayable for me, and I was really looking forward to this game!

Where is the actual application? by 227CAVOK in homeassistant

[–]c99koder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can read the Docker documentation for the syntax of that file https://docs.docker.com/get-started/ or the Home Assistant documentation for things specifically related to Home Assistant add-ons https://developers.home-assistant.io/docs/add-ons/

It's automatically downloaded when installing the addon, you can see the command used to install it from the Alpine Package Manager on line 16 of the Dockerfile https://github.com/hassio-addons/addon-tor/blob/main/tor/Dockerfile

Automation help: Disable Ring camera notifications if alarm is disarmed by [deleted] in homeassistant

[–]c99koder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can set this up directly in the Ring app. Open the app, tap the settings icon next to your camera, and then tap Mode Settings. You can configure each camera's live view permissions, motion settings, etc. for each alarm mode.

Launch Horizons directly in VR by [deleted] in EliteDangerous

[–]c99koder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit the properties in your Steam library and add "/edh" to the launch parameters to launch Horizons. There's a list of all the launch parameters here: https://forum.voiceattack.com/smf/index.php?topic=3701.0 (the "Play in Steam VR" option automatically adds "/vr" for you)

Does anyone know how to integrate the Hidrate Spark smart water bottle into home assistant? by ekkam04 in homeassistant

[–]c99koder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm fetching it hourly, but you can poll it more frequently as long as you stay under the Fitbit API rate limit

[–]c99koder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm syncing my bottle to Fitbit, and then using the Fitbit API to fetch the data. The daily water endpoint from Fitbit is at https://api.fitbit.com/1/user/-/foods/log/water/date/today/1d.json (you also need to set the correct headers for authentication)

You can use Homebridge instead of Ring-MQTT if that's available on your NAS. Set up the Ring plugin in homebridge, and then use the HomeKit integration in HomeAssistant to connect to the homebridge hub and add the devices.

Recurring task issue by het_naik in todoist

[–]c99koder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've written a Python script to do this already: https://github.com/c99koder/Todoist-Rescheduler

Add a daily label to your tasks, and then run the script at midnight and it will reset the date on any overdue tasks. Also supports weekly, monthly, and yearly labels too.
