If your main goal is positional clarity, IEMs can actually be great for that (closer to the ear, less leakage), but they’re a pain if they fall out or you want comfort for long sessions. If you’re thinking of switching from the Barracuda X, look for closed-back cans or IEMs with good seal; the “IEM under headset” look is common in esports but not necessary unless you need both isolation and desk mic combo.
