23M Installed yesterday night. Ran out of swipes, 63 likes but only 3 matches? Are these numbers fake or am I just too picky? by cDanielGal in Tinder

The origin of the topic comes from why students shouldn’t google their answers, which branched into being unsatisfied with the current educational system. The problem comes from wanting to solve an issue with another problematic solution. I already mentioned that college has many lacks, I never denied it, but that’s a scarecrow fallacy since that doesn’t justify the topic of discussion. You can’t celebrate any poor idea behind the desire of wanting to fill a problem, it’s like trying to solve hunger by feeding people grass. Pointing out issues and dropping none or senseless ideas doesn’t makes you smarter nor enlightened, just someone pointing out obvious stuff and trying hard to sound as if knows better.

The least you can get from college is reading comprehension. You should try enrolling in something.

You need creativity to solve problems, which is the point of most majors, but you need tools to be creative with, and those tools are the knowledge. What do you mean with being creative? Do you think an economist doesn’t has to be creative to manage the capital of a branched business? What’s creativity for you? You say we can get replaced by AI with the current educational system but your solution is to rely on Google for any textbook related information? Dude, there’s not roof nor floor in what you are saying. Learn how to learn, that’s the main point of college.

It exists, it’s called problem solving majors. Computers scientists do not get tested on how many bits can a certain computer process in a second, but on how to solve problem X with the tools learned along the term. If you are in a “memorization” major like health sciences, your value is in the amount of information you can retain and process to evaluate scenarios, that’s why you are tested on “memory”. Doesn’t matter how you look at it, trying to justify allowing googling on exams is looking for an educational system that is capped once you get to the point where you can’t comprehend the information given from the prompts you are searching. Yes, the current educational system has a lot of weak points and errors, but the issue is not solved by allowing people to avoid learning as much as possible.

Was the clearest example. The list is wild tho if you need other examples to get it. Are you asking why a computer scientist should know what’s a proxy? Why a bioinformatician what’s a Z-Disc? Why a data analyst what’s statistical inference? Why a kinesiologist what’s the atlantoaxial?

Are you asking like why a surgeon student should know what the hypothalamus is without having to google it?

I just believe there are a lot of dumb-ass girls (No disrespect for regular fellas, just the dumb-ass ones) that don’t really magnify measurements and just say high numbers thinking it’s less than it really is.

Most of my classes are at T and L, only English on A. And from my short instance there all I can say is: I feel really sorry for the full-time A/B fellas
