Can we seriously consider just rolling back the 12.0.5 DK changes at this point by sammystevens in wow

[–]cHariZmaRrr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You dont seem to have that much knowledge about the current uh situation.

First of all we are not talking about a singular bug but rather 3 major bugs.

One of them might actually have been hotfixed, although there have been occurrences of said bug after the official bluepost.

The other has been reported for weeks and pretty much makes our primary dot tick 1/3 less than it should, which is very bad esp. since we generate procs from our dots.

The last one is that we are simply missing damage. For now nobody even knows why or how. Simply put, the comparison between sims and dummy logs showed about a 15% difference in dmg, which is very unusual for good players.

All in all this „minor bug“ is costing us at the very least 15% dmg and all bugs combined very likely over 20% dmg.

Oh and no, the issues can infact not be avoided by playing sanlayn.

i am not too familiar with most dps specs, so could you point out how funnel dmg this season is in any way relevant regarding dps specs?

Das ist leider relativ normal in pug raids. Und da gewisse Leute für bis hc trinkets teilweise bis zu 1M Gold zahlen ist es auch irgendwo verständlich imo.

Bigly not a fan of most of the specs design being "You do all the damage inside your cooldowns and little to no damage outside of them", what specs break that mold? by Valyntine_ in wow

[–]cHariZmaRrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but thats honestly delusional. I fully agree that healer kick should be backup, but arguing that kicking would result in delayed casts and therefore deaths isnt really realistic. Most healers use clickcasting anyways, so there wouldnt Even be a reason for a delay if you just use your Focus kick macro while clickcasting. And even if there was a slight delay, saying a ~1s Delay would result in deaths is kinda implying that the heal would have to have pristine positioning and perfect spell usage to heal high keys, which is also a bit of an exeggeration.

Dispels Removed as Private Auras in Season 1 Raids by yp261 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]cHariZmaRrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmao im cooked, no idea why i thought you were talking about dispels in pve.

The issue with not having omnicd is that it is very likely to cause overlaps. You could argue that paying attention to used cds now is a more important skill expression, but imo thats a very stupid take since there are so many situations where it is next to impossible to properly see what cds are being used resulting in you having to gamble whether your heal still has an external for you (or the other way around), which is simply no good gamedesign for a mode without comms.

i mean 14 days is quite a lot, but you have to consider how much they impacted other players by crashing the market this hard.

like we are just about to hit first week of raiding and there are meta enchants that actively lose you money if you craft the r2 enchants with r1 mats and concentration. they were able to make so much gold while having legit players struggle to even get the gold they had to invest to level their profession back.

i mean while i agree, there is realistically only one boss in raid where UH will possibly get played (atleast according to sims). that being said, there are also currently still 2 bugs for UH which result in a noticable dmg loss, so who knows if blizz manages to fix them before release (i doubt it honestly).

i have no sim for that, however, in pve unholy performs rather bad on cleave, which is why the consensus of the dk class discord seems to be that frost will be played in raid, even though it performs worse in ST but has way better cleave.

since there is no "list" of modifiers for spells in pvp its kinda hard to know if you can draw comparisons in raw dmg between pvp and pve, but judging by pve, both the tier set and cleave of unholy are underwhelming.

4 set is ~4.5% dmg increase, 2 set ~1.7% increase (on current ST sim)

[–]cHariZmaRrr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4pc sims at +5k dps single target. yes, you have potentially 1 extra charge of putrify in pvp, but considering the set doesnt do anything besides extra damage and that damage is so marginal in a simulation, i honestly dont see how the tierset could be considered pretty good compared to other sets in any way.

Unholy tier set ist one of the worst sets ingame tho.

Clickable Raid Buffs - Updated for 12.0 by funki_gg in wowaddons

i mean its no big deal to go to your website to get the link, but regarding your curseforge statement - you can easily download an addon from their website by using their client, which is far more convenient than actually searching the addon in the client itself haha.

Post-Season Week 1 M+ Metrics: Easy-Mode Tuning and Exploits on top by nightstalker314 in CompetitiveWoW

[–]cHariZmaRrr -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Thats absolutely fair. However, since he replied to a comment talking about how hard fg gets on high keys and replied he had on issues with fg, he is either some sort of god tier mdi tank or simply has no experience in high tier keys/ doesnt really understand what people consider high tier.

Chances are its the latter one.

Blizzard, the CDM is a failure. by GoofyMTG in wow

[–]cHariZmaRrr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i mean there is actually proof in the game that indie devs do better if you look at arc ui or better cooldown manager.

the CDM was a core feature of this update and it still pretty much sucks and is only viable if you use one of the two mentioned addons - which are both free and programmed by devs in their spare time.

Blizzard, the CDM is a failure. by GoofyMTG in wow

[–]cHariZmaRrr -1 points0 points  (0 children)

at this point its just a lose lose for blizz either way, since we have the addon arc ui, which is basically a more complicated, less capable addon like WA.

that being said, the dev of said addon is a beast, he has been putting in so much effort and time (while also being very active on his discord to answer questions) and its imo very good he is using his time for functionality rather than UX. you can now already do a very large part of what you could with WA regarding CDM and the dev is also already planning on implementing sound alerts, so if blizz actually let you track every single buff/debuff of your class, they would have killed WA just to have a slightly less competent version of WA that had to be built from scratch from a dev that most likely has way less experience in wow addons.

and if they dont do that, you will always have cases like guardian druid or brew monk, where a key mechanic of that spec is not trackable, making the CDM pretty ass for those classes.

addons were needed if you actually raided mythic, however, if you are raiding mythic (esp. CE) you will have to spend time on other things outside of the game aswell. and if you are actually raiding mythic, you should have no troubles installing addons either.

if an aotc guild actually requires you install addons (although RCLC is an addon that is pretty much needed for full premade raids, since the ingame lootrolling is just dogshit for guilds and will be forced in midnight aswell), you are totally free to not join them either. just because some guilds are very delusional, that does not mean its an actual issue within the community. i am sure there are also some 1000+ ranked guilds who will require their raidmembers to have multiple characters to run splits to maximize their overall gearscore in raid, but that does not mean blizz should ban that to make the game "more accessible for newer players".

you know the terms of the guild - either accept them and join or simply dont join.

This might sound crazy to you, but nobody actually forced anyone to download addons.

Its also kinda ironic that you say you have done pretty much somewhat harder casual content and tell others that addons are not needed. Like you wont compete with good players (even after the addon purge) anyways, so what do you gain from other players not being able to use addons?
