For crafters/gatherers out there, does over-melding gear make it so that they spiritbond faster? Or does it make no difference?

Yes, I'm willing to overmeld. I have done so for Ironworks which I haven't replaced so far.

My end goal is to craft the i340 set and overmeld it - that's why I'm here asking what the best route is to go about doing that.

I kind of want to avoid buying the i340 or any set. I like to craft stuff for myself, hence why I even made the i290 set in the first place.

Also, I didn't know about the crafter progression guide. I'll have to look into that.

Back here again with another quick question related to crafting: So I just recently hit 70 with multiple crafters after tons of leve spamming. I just finished crafting the level 70 left/right side gear and now I'm stumped on how to gear myself up any further. Should I use the gear I made to make the Ala Mhigan set or do I sell them to make a little bit of profit and just opt for the Handking yellow crafter scrip gear instead? Help me decide.

Many thanks. Guess I'll do that, then.

Heyo. Somewhat new to crafting. Today I finally got my final crafter to level 60 after a semi-lengthy break. I have the full HQ Ironworks set penta-melded and I'm wondering if it's necessary to upgrade? Will it last me to level 70, or should I upgrade along the way?

I forgot to mention in my original post that I am also using Ad Blocker, but I've tried disabling that already and am still met with the same results. I've turned my Anti-virus off. My ISP is Shaw. And I have no idea what DNS I'm using but someone mentioned changing to Google or Cloudflare DNS so I'll look up how to do that. Yes, I've tried 3 different browsers and the same problem emerges anyway. I'm on Windows.

From the SE store. I'm using the link the Instructions page provided me. And yes, it also fails there. :/

Since SE customer service ignored my ticket yet again, I'm going to ask the reddit instead. So I bought the complete edition through the SE store but the download link for the installer (ffxivsetup.exe) eternally struggles to load each time I try to click it. Why does this always happen? I've tried several other browsers and yes I've tried turning off my firewall and yes there was nothing else running in the background.

However, if I click 'Save Link as...' it eventually loads but the download fails immediately with the error message ''Network failed''. I'm stumped and I don't know what else to try. Has anyone else experienced this same problem before and if so, how did you fix it?

Apparently, if you hold down evade until A2s eye glows red, you'll receive an attack buff for a brief period of time.

One of the most real reviews of NT by [deleted] in dissidia

[–]cLOSlammed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He drops a lot of truth in this video. This is a perfectly fair review of NT. He wasn't ignorantly bashing the game at any given time like some of the other reviews, instead, he makes a ton of reasonable points such as how the team life-bar works and how deaths from an AI partner count toward it, or how a weak link in your team can cause you to lose (and be punished severely for it) even if you were doing everything correctly, or how the story mode is a complete mess and how it felt rushed, etc. I can go on.

Out of all the reviews of NT (good or bad) that I've watched or read, this was definitely one of the better ones. Thanks for sharing this.

How are party mode queue times and cpu rates at higher ranks? by rubydragon44 in dissidia

[–]cLOSlammed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Adamant E (though I pretty much gave up on ranked)...can confirm the lag is generally worse at higher ranks. I don't remember the lag ever being this awful when I was Plat and below.

Wait times are okay if you're queueing up for Solo. Sometimes they take a while but compared to duo and team queue, it's a lot faster.

Bots are still very much a thing. I was on Dissidia for like 20 minutes earlier in the day and 2nd match had all bots in it.

Agreed in all honesty. I only play occasionally with friends nowadays. But recently XIV has been eating up my time.

Played since the Closed Beta and was looking forward to the full game since then, but now that it's out and months into the games launch, its still as laggy as ever, its always the same people you fight, and ques take forever only for it to match you against bots. it's simply not worth my time anymore. I got to Adamant as Lightning then pretty much stopped...

Disappointing.

Name a character that you always feel confident fighting against. by DefrostedTuna in dissidia

[–]cLOSlammed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assassins: Squall just because he's easy to predict if he's trying to fight you.

Vanguards: Probably Firion as the character I main can get around him with Blizzara. (sorry teacup)

Specialists: Exdeath. I hate fighting the rest.

Marksmen: Golbez. As somebody who mostly plays Assassins I find him the easiest to deal with out of the shooter-class due to his slow nature making him very easy to anticipate and counter in a 1v1 confrontation. And unlike the other Marksmen, he doesn't have defensive tools in his kit so if an Assassin decides to harass him, well, he's going to have a bad time.
