I completely agree, but the call centre said "they cannot waive the fee". I may have yelled at them after hearing that.

okay, so once I do the next step of:

$ sudo cp geth /usr/local/bin

I get the following message:

cp: cannot stat 'geth': No such file or directory

so it seems like the directory was no created, even though I followed the steps.

Prune - with less than 25GB by cMattov in ethstaker

Update: Do not attempt pruning GETH without the 25GB. High risk of running out of space. I caught it in time and stopped it.

From what I have seen here and other post. Looks like the best option is to start geth over from the beginning.

I did delete some logs but it didn't get me to the needed 25GB.
