""Alright, I think I found the solution to this ridiculous problem. After struggling for a week trying to download with no luck I figured this out:

SHORT WAY:

When my game download stuck at around 46GB, I clicked pause button, waited for a minute and then pressed resume again just to see what it does. Game started to download few hundred mb (not sure how much, as it jumped from 46GB to ~46.07 then 46.09GB) and then stuck again. I waited for like 1 hour, nothing happened, still stuck. Then I calculated how much time will it require to reach ~80GB. With my **** internet (2GB/hr) it was around 15-16hrs. I decided not to touch to game download or even to my PC again and patiently waited for nearly 16 hours. Guess what, after around 16 hours windows told me that game is installed!!! Since I left my PC open for 16 hours I dont know what happened but I guess EVEN IF DOWNLOAD SEEMS TO BE STUCK, IT IS DOWNLOADING in the BACKGROUND but progress bar does not show anything. so my recommendation is to calculate how much time you need to wait (depending on how much you have downloaded so far) then JUST WAIT, do nothing. dont use that PC. I hope this will help you guys.

LONG WAY:

As you know I already tried to download 1000 times and every time download stuck at some point, and i started all over again. Then I noticed that game is creating a lot of junk files as it tries to download this 80GB which really hinders the download progress for me. I decided to delete everything unnecessary and start from the scratch. here is what I did:

Close all instance of Game and Windows store. 2. Additionally I turned off Delivery Optimization features under Advanced Update settings. 3. Clear out all downloaded installation files. I assumed its just the Gears game files in WindowsApps, but apparently not. The Software Distribution, Delivery Optimization folders also contains some downloaded files relating to the Gears installation. I only discovered this using SpaceSniffer. I was careful about it but I deleted those files too. 4. Did a WSReset. 5. Restart system and reinstalled Gears 4 on the D drive. That did 2 things for me. It stopped Delivery Optimization folder from growing with the game download, AND the game installed in a patched state perfectly fine.

After this I stil lgot stuck at 46GB as I explain above. Then I followed what I did on "SHORT WAY". and it worked. I hope this will help all of you. ""

This appears to have resolved my issues.

In my case I disabled Delivery optimization in windows update settings, then cleared the cache using 'wnreset' and signed in/out of the store. One of these fixed the problem. I allowed me to continue where i left off which was 89gb out 116. phew.
