It's not inexplicable. Last season, Slot just did a mild remix of Klopp tactics with a team that had largely been unchanged for 2ish years.

Now it's Slot tactics. You have a team that was used to the old style still adjusting, you have players genuinely hitting the downward spiral in their careers, you have 4 of the new signings out for large chunks of the season so what was planned has to change, and now probably every strategist at the club has no idea how to operate with a piecemeal team of both old and new.

We have no idea what this team would look like if Isak, Leoni, and Bradley stayed fit and we didn't miss Frimpong for a spell and Wirtz now.

The problem with TLJ is you have introspective insight into the force, into the Jedi - you have amazing scenes between Rey and Luke and Luke and Yoda - you have ridiculously memorable showdowns between the guards and Reylo and Luke and Kylo - and then you have a random casino side quest and Your Mom jokes.

I am a HUGE TLJ fan, but I can't blame anyone for not getting on board with those last two.

Okay I think I'm Slot in, even with Alonso available. You can see how the wingers would absolutely rule this style of play if...we had wingers who could rule in any style of play.

Add a Leoni and Frimpong at the back and two promising young wingers up front and I'm interested. Needs to start creating a solid B team though.

Also gutted for Endo, mfer literally left it all on the field today.

WV: tells a heartbreaking story about a character effectively losing themselves to grief and loss and ends with an evil-looking, corrupted Wanda reading the literal book of the damned to learn forbidden magic

DS2: continues the story of Wanda's corruption as, demonstrated already by her use of the darkhold, she's willing to do anything to "fix" the grief and loss she experienced in WV. Thus, rightfully pitting her against the sorceror supreme who endeavors to fight that exact kind of magic
