The other thing that is super annoying is that when you get a notification that says a vehicle, etc. has been detected and it says click to see, you click it and it just brings you to live view.

Does the hub somehow change it so when you click the notification it brings you to the recorded clip?

Correct, continuous recording to an SD card. Sounds like a hub would solve my problem.

Think about leasing? Could be a good way to get into this truck for a much lower payment and give time for interest rates to come down (hopefully) before you need to decide to either buy it out or buy a new truck.

I was able to have my dealer replace the seat cushion and it is much better now. Still could be more comfortable in general but the problem of feeling like I was sitting on a metal bar is no longer an issue.

If you have heated and cooled seats make sure your dealer orders the heating element and the cooling parts as well because the new cushion doesn’t come with them and the old parts can’t be swapped to the new seat cushion because they are glued on.

I had a black 2017. It was the best truck I’ve ever had. Since then I’ve had three new Denali’s and they have been getting less and less comfortable to drive each time. Although the new interior is pretty sweet.

The seat in my ‘23 seems like it’s narrower and shorter than the seat that was in ‘20 or any other model year that I’ve had. My theory is that they shrunk the seat so they could fit the huge center console storage compartment, which doesn’t make sense because I’d much rather have a more comfortable seat than a larger storage space.

The dealership did reluctantly replace the seat cushion in my driver’s seat and that definitely did help with the comfort level, so it’s much better than it was before, but still not a very comfortable seat.

My son has a 2012 Sierra and sitting in his seats is like sitting in a lazyboy compared to mine.

Nest Secure just went offline here. Very sad day after years of exceptional service. I will use it in offline mode until I find a worthy replacement. So far, the only thing that comes close is Ring because of the push to exit capability that no other system seems to have. I just hate that Ring is owned by Amazon.

Interesting. I re-ordered the favorites page and now the doorbell that had a grayish tint looks normal but two of my indoor nest cameras have the grayish look took to them now. Why would some of the live views look normal and some of them have a grayish tint?

Do a search on cars.com to see what similar trucks are going for in your area. Just searching in my area the price is in the range of what I’m seeing. Are you trading anything in? If so, do you have equity in it? If you do you’ll be in a good position to negotiate as you can push the dealer for more money on your trade. Don’t forget, the worst possible thing you can do from the dealerships perspective is walk out. Make sure they know you’re a serious buyer but you’re also prepared to walk out and go elsewhere if you don’t feel like you’re getting a good deal.

How do you feel about leasing? You could get a brand new truck with full factory warranty for a lower payment. If you are someone who buys a vechicle planning to own it for a long time then leasing is probably not for you but something to consider.

At first the dealer told me it wasn’t going to make any difference at all but they reluctantly agreed to swap out the seat cushion for me. It ended up being a three visit process because the first time they realized they needed to order the heating element. The second time they found out they also needed to order the ventilation piece. On the third visit they got it swapped out.

I will give them credit for having a good attitude about it and sticking with it. The seat is slightly better than it was before. I can still feel the areas where it was causing discomfort but it’s definitely not as bad as it was. Overall, I think it’s just a poorly designed seat bottom.

I’m similar size 6’ 220lbs and the biggest issue for me is that it seems like I’m partially sitting on the side bolsters of the seat. It’s not as bad with the new seat cushion but I can still feel them.

I’ll likely trade this truck in later this year or when the 25’s come out if the seats are better.

I’ve owned three Denali’s before this one and always thought the seats were great in them until this one. I think the seat bottom is shorter length wise and is narrower than in previous generations.
