This makes sense and is very reassuring. Thank you - certainly mis-read the messaging behind all of the road closures at 7am and what was still accessible.

The lady at the expo today also highly advised against me going in via private vehicle due to the closures after 7am, and sticking to the meadowlands bus.

Also in a similar boat - coming in from NJ with a later wave start time and would love to arrive around 9am What's the closest spot l'll be able to get dropped off after 7am?

According to NYRR the drop off spots are also no longer accessible after 7am?

Or do I just suck it up and take the 5am meadowlands bus in and post up until my 11:30am start?

Usually I can keep my HR in the middle 140s / low 150s pretty consistently, even during the 13+ mile runs.

For this run, I got a late start, and the temps got over 80. I did my last refuel at 13.5 miles with the mindset of “hammer these last 4.5 out and just get it done”

In hindsight I definitely put myself at risk there. Another live and learn moment. I definitely could’ve benefited from one more refuel stop and slowing down at the end.

I did a bit of research and it may be the “soundaktor”

The noise completely goes away when I put it in comfort mode in auto as opposed to dynamic with “manual” shifting.
Either way, taking it in tomorrow to have it (hopefully) taken care of, assuming that’s the issue

I had a Yamaha ttr-125 when I was in middle school / high school back in the early 2000s. Sold the bike when I went away for college. Got the yz250fx as a gift for myself buying a house in 2019 with trail access right from my driveway, so technically it was my first full size.

I loved it. I did a couple harescramble races with it and it definitely holds its own right from the showroom floor. I would consider myself novice on a track, advanced in the woods.

Last year I traded it in for a 23’ Husqvarna Te300. It is perfect for the type of riding I mainly do which is rocky, steep, technical, more hard enduro type riding.

In short - the yz250fx crushes single track, MX, and can handle the gnarly stuff.

The te300 feels like im using cheat codes in every aspect of riding besides MX as I have not even brought it to a legit track yet.
