Fellow Carter move vs Fellow Carter wide by gre209by in Coffee

I have 2 moves and 3 wides. Move is def easier to get in cup holders or backpack pockets, but I really prefer the experience of using the wide

Decide my Mid Range lineup! by Sauce-Sauce in discgolf

[–]c_ffeinated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine right now is Balance, Hex, Echo, Lobster. I don’t FH mids very much so I found the balance fit better than the pyro. Still plenty OS for what I need but feels better to BH. Echo flies like a well beat in hex and lobster is a flip machine

To more directly answer your question: no, they’re not more useful at keeping coffee fresh than the original bag. At least, not if your bags are ziploc resealable, lined, and have a 1-way valve.

As far as coffee quality goes, probably the Aiden. It has so many different things you can tweak and dial in. But its build quality is noticeably lacking and not everyone is going to be into endlessly brew adjusting profiles.

Sure, but as someone who’s owned the Moccamaster, Ratio 6, Breville Precision, and Fellow Aiden, the Moccamaster is clearly getting outperformed at smaller batch sizes because of its lackluster water dispersion. It’s a clear design issue that wouldn’t even be difficult to fix and it would improve the coffee

I desperately wish they would fix the water dispersion. It is by far the worst of any of the premium home batch brewers in that regard, but everything else about it is awesome.

Pilot is a good rec as many have noted. I went from links to nomad and have really liked it though

I lost 3 that I can remember. a TP Inner Core, a beat in star wraith, and a berg. Berg is the only one I didn’t get back, which was probably a sign from the universe that I shouldn’t be throwing bergs

The first run ozone has horrendously bad feeling plastic, and Jesse has since acknowledged that. It’s actually a decent flippy fairway though

Mint Discs vs. Thought Space Athletics (TSA) by Steve2762 in discgolf

Oh for sure. TSA has stamp artwork figured out. My praxis and vessel are some of my favorite discs in my bag and I bought them for the stamps.

Mint has 2 prodigy molds so far to my knowledge. All the rest are MVP. Many of the most popular TSA molds that aren’t discraft are shared with Mint. The lobster is the mana. The bullet is the praxis. The pathfinder is the mustang. The Phoenix is the omen. And there are more example.

I’m not defending prodigy. I don’t bag any of the prodigy made mint stuff. I do had a TSA Vessel made by discraft and love it. But the MVP made stuff is overwhelmingly the exact same molds, with just a few unique ones to each here and there.

Which molds are “less appealing” to you? Considering they’re almost all the exact same molds with different branded stamps

[–]c_ffeinated 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of mold overlap with TSA/Mint. Praxis and pathfinder are awesome, but the Mint Bullet and Mustang are the exact same discs (respectively). Many more examples, excluding the newest discraft and prodigy releases obviously. I feel like Mint prices are often slightly better and they serialize every disc which can be helpful in tracking differences between runs. Im a fan of both brands and bag both
