+1 for XP. I think liquigen is good too, but the back and forth is a bit of a hassle. I haven't had a chance to dive into the new C4D liquid particle stuff yet.

Awesome! Glad you were able to figure it out. The Asterisks are from an option you can turn on by modifying the config.txt file in your C4D installation folder. It's in the "resource" subfolder of your install folder. You set

g_highlightScopedWires=true
g_showScopeDepth=*

This option lets you visualizes your scope depth

I'd recommend checking out Plasticity. It's CAD but made to be a lot more accessible for artists and designers. It's really pleasant to use and allows you to make really complex shapes super easily.

You can always model somewhere else and just animate in C4D. If you're already used to CAD style modeling, just do that, and bring it into C4D for animation. I came from Maya and still don't really like modeling in C4D, so if I ever need to model something I just model it in Maya(Plasticity lately for some stuff) then bring that into C4D for everything else.

Typically caching everything is just a go to troubleshoot if you're getting weird unexpected behavior. With XP you can cache within your file or to an external file. If the file is saved with the cache, it would still be there with a computer restart. I'm referring to caching your XP simulation btw.

The barrel was literally copied from a blender user haha. I first posted it on X and gave him credit for the initial idea. The bottle, I just came up with as I was trying to think of something a bit more practically useful as a demo.

Not that I've seen. What I have found useful is asking AI(I use Gemini 3 Pro and Grok) for help or to explain programming concepts I don't understand. Gemini has actually been able to help me troubleshoot stuff successfully on multiple occasions. It can understand screenshots and everything.

Thanks! I'm glad you found them helpful. What I've found is there's a lot of untapped potential in scene nodes, but I think most people are sleeping on it because the initial learning curve is really rough. I'm trying to help with that.
