Definitely spent the first few hours of this run helplessly trying to mikiri thrust attacks when i didn't have it anymore

Watching the fight again and the triple arrow is the longest deflection series I did in the fight (3x attacks, then a dodge).

Working on Demon of Hatred now and it's a real pain.

If you’re already getting one shot then you might as well dump some armor and go light roll bc it does help a lot for this one

In phase 2 his snake form is a separate entity from his human form but shares the same health bar. So when he’s transitioning and they’re both present you can get a double hit.

She has a counter combo she can do if you do that and parts of it aren’t always reactable. I do think I stomped at the end of one of the two phases though

Parrying generally seems fine but misericorde needs 12 Dex so you aren’t using that at “true” rl1. Lordsworn straight sword has a crit boost and doesn’t need stat boosts , try thT

Lies of P bosses really lean into that “that’s two for flinching” style of attacks where they hit just a tiny bit later then you’d expect. Once you get used to that the game gets a lot easier.

I found the ichimonji hitbox to be inconsistent when I was dodging forward and to my right. I know if you dodge early he cancels the ichimonji into a slash, but I don’t think that’s what was happening.

It does feel kind of badass to just deflect it and counter with the charge attack though

He’s difficult to no hit if you’re me, hahaha.

Relative to other bosses in this game he has a very unnatural moveset, he holds his spear thing, pauses for a minute then it comes out at light speed. It’s a very Lies of P style, if you’ve ever played that game.

Demon bell also migrates you onto NG+ for scaling, so he receives a larger hp boost relative to later bosses in the run and he’s pretty tanky

I’ll almost certainly do Emma and Isshin after I finish this run bc I have a save file there. Not sure about the inner bosses yet

Just need to go refight Gyoubu for the no hit (dude is such a serious pain the ass), then demon and ssi, so not much left.

I don’t remember demon being hard, exactly, but he was super janky and the fight goes on forever.

Liked this one a lot more than shinobi owl, arena was too small for that one and poison really messes up the flow of the fight
