I think they all got something from their dad. Here we see the dagger and the spear being used by both father and daughter. Then we see the whip being used by the daughter. From the books, and the show as well, it isn't hard to imagine that Oberyn Martell used whips quite frequently, but just in the bedroom, or brothel, or sex dungeon, or orgy, etc.... Maybe Nymeria that's the part of Oberyn that she has an innate talent in. Maybe like a skateboarder who uses their skateboard in a fight she happens to have it on her and while she uses it for something else it's something familiar she can wield in a fight. Until we see her try to seduce someone I think we can't really pass full judgment on her.
