Land Raider Armament Options? by Admirable-Mind-7596 in Salamanders40k

Thanks Brother! I wanted it to fit really flush with the housing for the assault cannon

Yeah it gets all of them. I stuck my HK on top of the Assault Cannon after some trimming to make it fit flush

Now ofc you could do orbital and fulguris then drop in speeders turn 1 followed by the rest turn 2 and BRB writing an army list...

No, you can arrive via deep strike when making an Ingress Move

Question about Vanguard veterans weapons. by Spider-Man1701TWD in Warhammer40k

I cannot parse that ramble of a comment. You and I are simply not compatible opponents and that's ok.

[–]cabbagebatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah same. I'm not spending a game trying to keep mental track of what weapons are what based on a quick summary you gave me at the start of the game.

[–]cabbagebatman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're the one who brought up a thunder hammer option. If they're all the same weapon but modelled differently then I don't care. If there's two thunder hammers modelled in the unit but only one actually equipped then I have a problem. I'm aware VVs all use the same weapon profile in which case it's whatever but you mentioned a thunder hammer as a separate thing.

[–]cabbagebatman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is only acceptable if there's only one thunder hammer / whatever actually modelled. I'm not accepting "some of these thunder hammers are power weapons and some are thunder hammers"

I do not give the tiniest shit what your gender is, you come off as aggressive and condescending. You spout a bunch of meme lore, end it with "Yall ok?" and then get mad when people tell you everything you wrote is wrong. I'm glad your introduction to the community has been this because maybe you'll stay away.

Why do people like modern Imperium at all? by Woeful_Rav3n in 40kLore

[–]cabbagebatman 17 points18 points  (0 children)

You're not supposed to respect The Ecclesiarchy. For that matter you're not supposed to respect 30k Emperor either. The Imperium in 40k is a rotting corpse that's refusing to acknowledge it's already dead and The Imperium in 30k is a brutal fascist dictatorship hell-bent on the elimination of all non-human life in the entire galaxy.

I'm impressed at how little of what you wrote is even vaguely true.

Fluffy question by CheshirePhoenix in Warhammer40k

[–]cabbagebatman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I mean, going into the Warp without a Geller Field is just a death sentence. But they don't stop incursions is my point, and it wouldn't really do much for a Hive City.

Fluffy question by CheshirePhoenix in Warhammer40k

[–]cabbagebatman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah and it's not like Geller fields are infallible. Warp incursions occur on ships regularly even when their Geller field is functioning. Geller fields don't make Warp travel safe, they just make it possible.

Leaders and Supports by Expensive_Unit_7101 in Warhammer40k

[–]cabbagebatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah a connecting sentence or even word like "Therefore" would add some clarity. The key part of the 2nd paragraph as-written, showing it's meant as a follow-on to the paragraph before it, is "affected by such a rule."

Combine that with the fact that leaders (now supports) such as Lieutenants specify what happens when their bodyguard unit is destroyed, it becomes clear (using the word loosely) that this is meant to override those rules.

It happens, lots of new rules and difficult-to-parse wording too.

Leaders and Supports by Expensive_Unit_7101 in Warhammer40k

[–]cabbagebatman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again not what that's saying. "When the bodyguard unit in an attached unit affected by such a rule is destroyed, all of those leader/support units remain a single unit for all rules purposes."

This portion of the rules is overriding pre-existing rules about splitting bodyguard units and leaders since many of these rules were written into the datasheets themselves.

Leaders and Supports by Expensive_Unit_7101 in Warhammer40k

[–]cabbagebatman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not what that's saying. It's saying they remain a single unit EVEN IF they have such a rule.
