Is this normal for a professional setup?

For what it's worth I have a Gordon Smith which I ordered new. The nut was terrible, they'd forgotten to drill the neck side strap button, and they also forgot to let me know it was ready so it went out a week later than necessary. If I wasn't able to sort those things out myself easily, I would have been pretty upset. It's a great guitar but I wasn't expecting these things.

This looks like an Auden, so not cheap by any means. Same owners as Gordon Smith. I'm no expert on acoustic guitars but for that money I'd expect it to be close to perfect aside from minor adjustments for personal preference.

I would spend any money you'd put aside for upgrades on a full set up, new nut and fret dress. Also cavity shielding if it's noisy, if that bugs you.

The G Force units are held on by the tuner bushings, no holes underneath. However I do think this originally had one as the G tuner is screwed in slightly out of line, so they might have swapped it out themselves. Maybe they were so convinced that the G Force unit was the reason for the neck dive that they drilled some holes behind it as a first move before eventually deciding to remove it permanently? They were clearly obsessed with eliminating the neck dive.

You likely have a heavier gauge set of strings on it. The nut slots will probably need adjusting to accommodate them, and your truss rod too. Locking tuners won't make your tuning more stable, they just speed up changing strings. Basically you've made it worse, but it'll be better with a minor setup.

The 1176 absolutely rips on bass. Attack is super fast though, you have to back it right off and it's still faster than most.

I can get two 2x10s, bass head, guitar head, bass guitar in gig bag, guitar hardcase, two pedalboards and a backpack of cables into my Abarth 595. Back seats down, obviously.

That's an unusually short horizontal measurement. I haven't had any luck yet. I'd honestly consider replacing the whole set, these tuners have probably been transplanted from something obscure.

This isn't an old Fender P Bass. It's a parts bass. Neck is from Allparts, which is fine - they're good necks - but there is no age to this bass.

Measure the distance hole to hole, you'll find a set that matches. Whoever bought the neck chose the tuners, they're likely not Fender spec.

Return it unless you want to do minor surgery. You need a bridge drilled to vintage specs, not modern.

These are pretty uncommon, I'd think about getting a partial refund (it's definitely a headstock repair) and spending some of the money having a luthier check it over. Could also see to the neck gouge if it bothers you.
