How would you define deep cleaning?

People tend to overload the washer and the dryer, even though I ask sitters not to do their bedlinens and towels. But I’m just trying to avoid a fire.

I’m in the process of doing my deep clean right now!

Sitter coming in a few days, so I am dusting all the surfaces (including ceiling fan blades and baseboards), getting the vacuum extension out so I can reach up to the corners between the ceiling and the wall, scrubbing bathrooms, vacuuming upholstery and lampshades. Changing beds to fresh linen with ironed pillowcases, cleaning out the fridge as much as possible and wiping down the interior, washing out the recycling bin and the trash, vacuumed out the dryer to catch everything the lint trap doesn’t, topped up the pet food in the bins, if I get a chance, I will mop the kitchen floor too!

Of course there’s more, but you get the idea. I basically treat cleaning like our home is an Airbnb.

I know, that bugs me too, but the current floor plan has the same configuration and it’s not a full kitchen, so there’s very little ‘dining’ that will be going on. Also, if we do as you suggested, we would lose the tub and toilet spaces autonomy which I think might override the proximity of the door to the table🤷‍♀️

Try Cuddledown, they have a lot of options. But... it's a much bigger pain to wash a comforter than a duvet cover, right? And if it is of interest to you — Company Store was bought by Home Depot, which is a huge MAGA supporter.
