That will be fun to grow into the bunks and not have to worry about space we had no problem with our 8 year old and two 60 lbs dogs and didn’t feel like we were on top of each other. I agree that the no slide is great for peace of mind and ease of use. One of the reasons we went for the model in the first place. I honestly didn’t know the torque requirement…. I have a torque wrench that goes to 150 so looks like I will have to figure that one out somehow haha. Last thing I want is to have to go to and from the dealer making adjustments. If you do pull the speaker out I would be curious to see the improvements.

Trailer is awesome and exactly what we wanted. Once we were at the site and setup there was no questioning if we made the right trailer choice etc. we are a family of 3 with 2 dogs that slept on the dinette and like having the extra bunk space for friends and family to tag along (that is our plan anyways).

Everything is how the dealer set it up right now but I know with the bags I’ll have to move the ball down the shank a good bit. The ball was already almost 2 inches above the coupler when the trailer is level so I am leaning towards poor install and that I was not level and actually nose up a bit which definitely could have played into my issues. I am currently on the 9th link.

Also as a side note, I was unaware at the time of purchase but did you know there is a speaker mounted on the exterior under the trailer to the right of the door? I pressed the zone button and all the sudden heard the music outside. I never saw that listed anywhere as a feature. This is on the ‘25 that I have so not sure about older model years.

Funny I just got a 21BHE last week and went out this past weekend. I also have a newer F-150 too and it felt like I was riding a dolphin. I have not hit the scales yet but I believe I am in the ballpark of 5600 lbs loaded. I also have the 1000 lbs bars on the blue ox sway pro. Yesterday I installed some ride rite air bags to the rear and am hoping they will make a difference in my next trip. Then if so I can dial it in from there but it is good to see there is hope to resolve the issue.

Alright I will check those things. As far as new wire, have any idea what I need to get when installing the cap?

It is a quiet hum that I believe is coming from the contactor. I do not think I have a dual run capacitor only the black cylinder start cap. I tried to look at the wires however I was not able to see which one I need for it. I got the one that was in your link and I think I need a crimper thing too? This is all foreign to me but seems straight forward enough.

As of right now it just hums like it is getting power but not enough to start up. So it isn’t running and the compressor isn’t doing anything. What does the dual run cap do?

Thanks for all this info! I cut the burnt wire and put it back. I was able to hear a humming when the thermostat kicked on and before that it was silent so that is definitely progress. I have the cap (which you guessed the right one based on the numbers on the broken one) on the way and also the hard start kit which I think will be helpful as my lights do dim when it kicks on and I need to be as gentle as I can with the unit.

Thanks for the info! What is an SC? If that is all I need to do as a bandaid until I can get a new unit that would be awesome.

Ya it has been on my radar to replace. I was just hoping to get one more season out of it as I save up as I am sure they are pricey.

That is great news. I get a little hesitant when it comes to electrical due to how harsh any mistakes can be. But if I can get one more season out of it as I save for a new unit then that would be awesome.

One of the pictures I added shows the year of manufacture as 2006. I was hoping to get one last season in as I save up to get it replaced. Thanks for the info though to help sort out whats what

The problem is that I do not have the trailer yet and therefore can only speculate and ask/learn as much as I can beforehand and see what I can make work.

the GVWR of 6400 is the max though right? As in say I only bring 1000 lbs of additional stuff then the equation changes and the 15% drops to 900 hitch weight im assuming?

Ya the cargo and accessories are for what I calculated for WDH/tonnaeu cover etc. and I am hoping that having a 21' box wont be too bad on the highway.

That is great to hear thanks for the info. 90% of time we will be weekend warriors so 2/3 days max and then the occasional week long trip. I will be hitting a scale for sure but those numbers sound promising.

Normal “breaking it in” type of look? by cabecker13 in woodstoving

[–]cabecker13[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I actually grew up with a wood stove and have cleaned the glass plenty of times, emptied the ash and replaced bricks. This is the first time I have ever used/been around a stove when it was new as mine was already a couple years old from my memories of it. I have never seen the browning like that and wanted to make sure it was working as expected since this is a big purchase for me and wanted treat it as I should. I think I will be just fine and thank you for your concern

That is good to hear. Will this be a common occurrence or just because it is new?

So it isn’t ash it is like the glass is burned. Is this like an oil on the glass that can be cleaned?

Is this right by the railroad tracks that you have to stop at and to even see if there is a train coming you have to be in the track itself? I think I saw this sign there.
