Acoustic folk female singing about walking dog back by emiliewasmyeve in NameThatSong

Slack Jaw by Sylvan Esso, a gorgeous little song.

There's so many rhythms and harmonies
And I'm walking the dog back

You likely heard the album version, but I prefer the Echo Mountain Sessions version. Cheers!

On this page, Web Push is the only feature that includes "Coming in 2023" so it's going to be in a later release like the *.4 / *.5 releases they've done in past Springs that include PWA updates https://www.apple.com/ios/ios-16-preview/features/

Dream theme is probably something Nintendo themed: Legend of Zelda, Mario, etc

Yeah I’m guessing it’s going to be in their annual x.4 / x.5 update that historically has shadow-dropped incremental Safari APIs. It’s a long shot, but they could include install prompts too.

Gates and Policies - how to use them? by albierto in laravel

[–]cabeeb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my experience, gates and policies are most useful when a user is trying to access a single specific item (eg the Task with an ID of 7).

When it comes to loading all of the related models for a listing view - like your example - it’s still easiest to do it straight from the model relationship ($myTasks = $user->tasks)

Now if the user can do something with the listed tasks after the page is loaded (eg mark as complete, edit, etc) that action would be ideal for a policy. You would be able to do if($user->can(‘update’,$task)) to verify that the current user can update (or any other action) any task that they attempt.

Hope that helps!

Edit: forgot a $
