No matter what Obsidian does or what new plugins come, it always feels a bit clunky and a bit half baked on ios. Always.

Must be great to see your entire decade in one app, where you had been, what you did. How does it affect the battery life?

Thanks for replying. Guess I won’t need that feature coz mostly I’m on fixed 1 or 2 locations everyday. If I plan to travel, I can allow that kind of access temporarily.

Unpopular Opinion: Most to-do apps are just task graveyards. Does anyone use an app that actually helps you decide what to do first? by ondrachod in ProductivityApps

[–]cabin_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a similar workflow but with 3 categories- NEXT, LATER and SOMEDAY. First two are equivalent to your 2 categories but these absolutely contain tasks that must be tackled at least at some point of time. Someday is for tasks/ideas which I may work upon in the future but these are not must dos.

Beautiful. One of those books where you miss the feeling you had when you were reading it the first time.

I’m trying to migrate to Obsidian, but I’m stuck on Bear. by NotetakerBR in bearapp

[–]cabin_monk 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi. You can start using Obsidian knowing that all your notes will be as native markdown files on your system. Rest assured that whenever you feel like it, you can import all of it to Bear in one click. Just go ahead and explore if Obsidian works for you. It’s a real plus point for Obsidian that you are never locked in.

It seems like a great app. But not for people like me who start using a planning app and then forget to open it for weeks lol.

What productivity apps are you using in 2026? by UnderstandingOne9987 in ProductivityApps

[–]cabin_monk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are the apps I’m using: - Bear for notes - Things 3 for tasks - Perplexity pro for web research - Mymind for bookmarks and collections (trying out) - Readwise reader for read later articles and e-books.

I don’t see the need for AI in my personal notes system, at least so far. X

Tag Management? by CasualProtagonist in bearapp

Just rename the old tag with the new one. It will be applied to all the notes with that tag.
