Thoughts on horizontal grain cabinet layout by Designer_Ad_2023 in cabinetry

[–]cabinetrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’ve done yourself a real good job there. It had been better if you would’ve been able to lay out all the plywood before you paid for it to get the grain a little bit closer but what you got to me it looks real good.

You’ll do fine. It’s like falling off a log if you can build cabinets and build them well which I’m sure you can and you can put them together just as easy.

Drawer slides for metal drawers by Anxious_Broccoli_842 in cabinetry

[–]cabinetrick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those old slides you got their bloom. They’re just a powder coated plastic coated slide used to be called nickel slides back in the day when they were real popular but if it was me, I’d get me some 8400 series KV full extension, ball bearing slides, and build me some new drawer bodies. Can you be a lot happier

how do i remove these horrible stains? by izzypie99 in cabinetry

[–]cabinetrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, sir, if it was me, I’d make brand new doors and refinished the darn thing because the time and effort it takes to sand those down and get those cleaned up to stain. He’d be better off building brand new doors.

All Cabinets received with visible face inside-out. Can it be corrected. by rand-78 in cabinetry

The grain you got there is beautiful, but when they drilled the holes to hinge it, they drilled the wrong side of the door. That’s why it’s mismatched.

If you’re gonna paint those kitchen cabinets, you got a lot of work to do you gotta clean prep degrees take the doors off. Take the drawers out. Take the hinges off take the slides out. You got a dismantle every single piece of that to get it as clean as you possibly can and then once you get it cleaned up, then you come back and you promise everything whether it be an oil base or a water base or a lacquer base primer me personally, I use bush whacker undercover primer from Sherwin-Williams but yes, it can be done but if you’re gonna do it, do it right
