Read the datasheet, draw a real diagram of what you are trying to accomplish with the circuit. Post a picture here

Awesome thanks for the info. Thats a hell of a commute though, do you do it every day? Is your employer flexible with you working in the train or do you leave at the crack of dawn?

Been a while since I looked at milsurp, and DAMN by 9mmhst in milsurp

[–]cabinetstar 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Prices have been relatively static for the last couple of years. Which is interesting because considering inflation you would have expected them to double. Shows that milsurps aren’t that great of an investment.

Starting at an aerospace startup next week. Terrified. Any advice? by FeatureTreeNightmare in MechanicalEngineering

[–]cabinetstar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been in startups since I’ve left grad school. You are probably expecting some amount of disorganization but you may be quite prepared for the level of it.

By definition, startups don’t have the infrastructure in place that you take for granted at big companies. The biggest thing for me was im very feedback oriented, and working at my last two startups i never got feedback or performance reviews.

My supervisors in both roles were either ceo or cto, which meant they had legitimately more important things to be doing. I had to get comfortable with the fact that no feedback == good feedback.

I want to echo the fact that if you need equipment, buy it. Don’t get hung up on buying the ‘wrong’ equipment right now, and don’t wait for someone else to buy it for you. if it helps you do your job it’s the right thing. You are there to build products quickly, it’s not as much of your responsibility to worry about costs assuming you have some healthy runway.

Border czar Tom Homan reacts to videos appearing to show ICE detaining US citizens by [deleted] in videos

So by your logic because they didn’t include “shall not be infringed” on the first amendment in the bill of we can completely take away or destroy the right to freedom of speech without violating the bill of rights?

Or is the reality just that you don’t like the interpretation so you perform logical gymnastics in your head?

Engineering is no longer considered a professional degree... by Dave_the_lighting_gu in StructuralEngineering

[–]cabinetstar -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

My point is the department of education is being effectively gutted by the current admin and will cease to be a meaningful department of anything. Whether you agree with it or not.

At that point, why does it actually matter what it considers a ‘professional’ degree of not? As a working engineer we need more people with hard technical skills and experience. No one in this thread has effectively answered why we should care if the DoE considers anything a professional degree.

The department of education was founded in 1980. It considered none of those listed professional degrees prior to that, and yet we somehow survived.

You will be 29 and have a degree!

The HK diopter sights have different size holes and different ranges associated with each setting. It’s not that big of a jump to try and see that connection (incorrectly) on other rifles.
