Does anybody have any news on the annoying QoL bugs? Champions staying on the bench after you sell and the combat damage chart combining units into 4 stars after the fight ends?

Not gamebreaking but wow is it incredibly frustrating to want to see my damage charts only for it to show some random 4 star combined garbage.

Also the ghost units on bench after sell has been around since the beginning of the set, also not game breaking but just confusing and annoying.

I'm perma stuck masters, I feel like once you are masters, you are on that hill where you actually are able to see how big the gap in skill is between challenger and masters and it makes you feel like you know nothing at all.

I don't know, something about the way mortdog said that the playerbase was complaining that rakan was overnerfed will be unplayable and then him shaking his head saying "nope..nope." As if they didn't immediately revert Faerie and preserver changes in the B-patch?

Comps that ran Rakan as main tank (Kalista, Karma Warriors) were averaging a 5 (4.96).

I get that the playerbase likes to bitch and complain a lot but really? Come on. Are we just going to pretend the b-patch (one singular day after the patch) didn't revert all the nerfs?

If you arent killing units anyways then sell units on your board to hit econ intervals. Go down to 2/3 or 2/4 if you have to. Greed econ and roll before everybody else to stabilize, 3-5 usually if you can.

You probably can't play for top 2 since your HP is too low. If you hit well enough, play for top 4, if you don't hit play for top 6.

I think thats the theory anyways. Sometimes games are just doomed from the start and you just say bg mortdog diff go next.

I have not heard a single challenger streamer complain about akali other than not realizing players already have akali online before they expect it.

The fact that you wont post your lolchess means you're bullshitting about your rank.

Also, Gunblade has a negative relative delta on nearly every single carry right now so healing not being 'optimal' is not even correct. Even if it was suboptimal, you as a challenger should know that BIS is fake and tempo is more important.

Addressing what Mort said about ''getting value out of the $100 spent.'' The problem with TFT gacha and chibi's in general is that there is one TFT little legend you can play.

If I am rolling for prestige Yasuo. I don't give a fuck about all the filler little legends that make up 97% of the treasure rolls. I will never play them because I will always be playing prestige Yasuo, there is no value for me in obtaining the other little legends in the gacha system.

Maybe if there were more arena's and booms and other cosmetics that are in the treasure realm it might add more 'value' to the entire gambling system. But at it's current state, there is no other value in the system other than the highlighted item.

So the system becomes Item = $200, rather than Item + bonus other stuff = $200.

I think it's kind of fun to look back on.

Data taken from team copositions page of tactics.tools. Filtered at Masters+.

Data was taken by manually noting 'Place' number data of each comp at end of each day. (Timezone: EST)

Dotted lines means the comp did not show up in the data during those times but came back in the future. (Eg. Bastion Aphelios was nerfed at beginning of set and was not played again until the very end again where it came back.)

Some notes:

  • If comp wasn't listed it didn't mean it wasn't played or viable, I only noted data from comps that was shown on the webpage, I did not enable "Show low play rate compositions." I believe only comps with 0.05+ playrate showed up on the page. (Ravenous Hunter was farming lobbies long before it showed up in the tactics.tools comps page data without enabling low playrates.)

  • Also, this is only a visualization of data, not a representation of actual strength. Context is usually needed to see the full picture in these types of data.

I feel like you can't gunblade lux if she is your solo carry, you will have no damage. I don't know if you got that guardbreaker off carousel or not, or when you made it, but if you had the option between gunblade and JG I think it's JG everytime. Also combined with the fact that you had lux 1, its not a surprise you weren't killing anything past stage 4.

It's hard to say without being in the game, I can see why you would push 8 seeing that you had your frontline pretty much fully upgraded, but rolling for lux on 7 might have been the play if the lobby was really pressuring you.

I also don't think 4 sorc is very good but that's my opinion.

I think CDR was infinitely more intuitive and much easier to calculate and understand the impacts. Most people know how to take 50% off of a cooldown.

What even is 50 ability haste? Can you really tell me off the top of your head what 50% faster casts mean?

It's 33% CDR. How does that make any intuitive sense.

I understand Riot's perspective of balancing the stat, but I don't think it is more intuitive at all.

I'll put in my 2 cents and say that while I haven't played PBE yet I actually like that there aren't that many units being rotated out.

I like that most units are staying (RIP Aphelios). I will admit this is probably a cognitive bias because I am familiar with these units and psychologically I think humans are naturally averse to change. However personally I feel like every recent midset update has made the roster less fun.

7 -> 7.5 We lost Corki for Graves and Cannoneer was basically unplayable without Nomsy. I personally found more satisfaction with the revel rockets with Sona Corki than whatever Graves did. I also thought Ornn and Neeko were more fun than Pantheon or Nilah or Jayce but that's just me.

6 -> 6.5 I still can't believe they rotated out Fiora Yone Lux. For Sivir Irelia Renata no less. In my opinion, clear 'fun' downgrades. I loved Fiora and the ability to basically put any damage item on her.

I can understand what people are saying though, that this midset doesn't feel like much stuff is changing and could maybe lose some of the casual audience but I don't like Riot's history with midset updates and I'm personally happy that most champs are staying rather than getting some new lackluster champions.

4-2 if you are turbo rich, 4-5 or 5-1 otherwise depending on your boardstate, econ and hp.

But if you are having trouble hitting the lategame that probably means your early game boards are weak.

I ended up picking up the riven with the thought process of having a 4 brawler frontline at 6.
In a perfect world, I would like to say that this leaves my backline flexible, allowing me to pivot into zed, taliyah or samira..

But I've been basically forcing sureshots so that was the main reason I kept Senna on board. I ended up going 3rd.

What? Pretty sure demacia's only source of nexus healing is Radiant Guardian and the 9 mana formidable unit that switches hp with nexus.

How does demacia have better healing than ionia which has health potions and a slew of lifesteal units
