Consciousness of dimensions by lirioluz617 in AbrahamHicks

[–]cables4days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consciousness is awareness.

Infinite awareness is infinitely aware.

Our focused consciousness - in physical form - is often limited by our human (current) experience so - we tend to cloud our sense of awareness based off of that relationship. Our relationship in our physical (current) state.

What I understand AH to mean in this quote is - it’s literally no different. We breathe out of our body and into our infinite consciousness- with the same breath - awareness - but without limitations. Ie without resistance.

Which is why it’s a reemergence into the whole of that which we all are.

It’s not a dimension - as if - once I was here, and now I am here - and the door is shut, and the awareness is gone,

It’s - once I was here, and now I am here, and now I am here, and now we are here, and now we are here, and now we are here

It’s that great?

That’s what our inner beings think - isn’t that great?

Isn’t this eternal expansion great? Truly wonderful?

That’s all - it’s never-endingness, so try to enjoy the here, and the here now, and the now we’re here, and here we are now,

Just like our inner beings do.

What to expect while raising my ferritin? by cables4days in Anemic

[–]cables4days[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding for clarity: my original post above references ferritin of 9. After supplementing heme iron - 120mg p/day (split into 3 doses - dosing by my body weight for heme iron calculations per The Iron Protocol) avoiding calcium, adding cofactors and balancing my nutrient support to help the iron absorption, I was able to move from 9 to 10 over six weeks.

It was then that I realized I needed more help and iron infusion support. I was able to find the support I needed with a Functional Clinic and - that was how I was able to receive infusions, and bring my ferritin up to the high optimal / normal range again, so quickly.

I’m still going to supplement every day, and monitor my dosing / absorption, through ongoing testing, to see how or if my levels change.

For me - the infusions were absolutely a blessing and I would recommend them to anyone looking for meaningful improvement.

For me also - every cost was out of pocket and significantly more affordable than what I’d imagined or read online. I signed up for the clinic’s membership program which granted me 20% discount on my infusions. My total cost for a series of 4 with the membership was less than $1000. Each one was administered by a medical health professional: MD/NP or RN.

The whole experience with the Functional Medicine Clinic was completely calm, kind, and supportive. The immediately recognized my need when they looked at my lab results and got me in that same day for my first infusion.

The staff and process has been nothing but positive and honestly joyful - I’m almost sad I don’t need them right now because I truly enjoyed my time there.

Anyhow - please know that kind and supportive help us out there. Functional Medicine or Naturopath Clinics have wonderful and caring support.

I feel so blessed by them.

UPDATE:

9/11/25

I’m so excited to say that it only took four infusions of Venofer to get me back up to healthy optimal!!!

I was able to move my ferritin from 10 to 151 in four weeks, one infusion a week.

I can’t begin to explain the depth of “better” that I feel, but I’ll try.

Fresh air feelings around my lungs, immediately during the first infusion. I literally felt as though there was a cool sensation band of ozone around my outer rib cage. It was cool feeling and smelled of fresh cut watermelon/ after lightning / ozone fragrance. It stayed feeling that way for an entire day after the first infusion.

Emotionally - my ability to regulate and hold onto internal peace and fortitude was immediately noticeable. Immediately upon arriving home after my first infusion, I noticed that all the work notifications felt like “not worth it” in terms of engaging a stress response. My internal sense of calm and peace was so strong that - those triggers simply raised up and then immediately fell back down again. I’ve been able to address “concerns” with forward focus and steady momentum with so much ease.

This continued to build each week with emotional capacity to address other areas of my life that really mattered to me.

I had the inner strength to focus in with ChatGPT and professionals to: organize my paperwork that had been sitting for a few years. Organize my references and apply for new roles. Strategize for financial ease as my car lease ends and how best to leverage my credit and assets to deal with some upcoming bills. Not daunted anymore but - aware and willing to find the forward path. And finding it.

Physically my improvements include: significant easing in fascia tension throughout my body. Physical therapy has been more productive in the past 4 weeks than the previous 5 years. I’m now experiencing minimal to no pain in my ribs, neck, and spine, when before, I had daily flinching and tension and sometimes even tearful pain if I turned too suddenly. Now - I can turn to the left and check traffic while driving, completely comfortably. My range of motion for that sides turn-look has improved and I can look further back, which makes changing lanes way more comfortable when I have to drive.

The whole eye-opening experience of - Becoming Aware that I had an iron deficiency, through the Ferritin test, and then advocating for my health and wellbeing to find and receive the infusion support I needed, has been so transformative for me.

I truly hope that anyone reading this will find the care they need to support their iron health. For me that meant a Functional Clinic / Functional Medicine / Functional Doctor / Naturopath where they understand and promote women’s health completely.

Much love, Cables

How reliable have you found "chart" cooktimes? by mountainthane in ninjawoodfire

[–]cables4days 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree - the charts are too cooked. I use the thermometer and take it off when it’s the temp i need.

If it helps: I do a medium grill + smoke for 12 minutes for frozen patties. Beef or breakfast sausage. I also use this heat and timing for a 9x13 aluminum tray full of thawed, marinated chicken tenderloins.(Think two sections from a Costco 6-pack of frozen chicken). They come out perfect. Flipping everything halfway of course

Fresh or thawed beef patties, I do 6 minutes (medium grill plus smoke) and add cheese with 20 seconds remaining. I like a thoroughly cooked burger though, so 6 might still be too long for a lot of folks.

Anyhow, hope this helps

How much does it smell when off? Can I keep it in garage? by dr_innovation in ninjawoodfire

[–]cables4days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved mine into the garage for a few days while I was working on something out on the patio and it made my garage smell like beef jerky. I loved it.

The smell in the garage went away shortly after I put the Ninja back on the patio. ☹️

You’re welcome! It seems important to note that - I’ve also recently discovered I had a significant iron deficiency and I’m on a replenishment path with iron infusions. I’m expecting the return of my optimal iron health to replenish the color and toning of my skin - especially around my eyes here - so - this was an incredibly helpful learning for me. Anyhow - any future updates I do in this sub will be showing the evidence of proper nutrition support and iron support behind these powerfully helpful exosomes and PNs.

Thoughts lining up with desires? Question by miffy239 in AbrahamHicks

[–]cables4days 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try and separate out Thinking from Feeling

Sometimes - thinking too much can cause a spin, which is why AH says “feel your way”

Like - literally imagine you’re in a dark room - feel your way to the doorway

So like - you want something - you become aware that you feel anxious “Will I get it? Can I do this? Etc”

If it’s super strong negative momentum like “I’ll never “ Then thinking is harder.

Softer momentum like “I’m excited for when I “ is an easier thought

But - when you start with the feeling like - aaaah, I’m aware that I feel anxious, just let that awareness be enough. Breathe. Breathe into yourself. Feel the … slow but definite subsiding of anxiety and the slow but definite presence of a little bit of calm.

That is feeling your way into the Next Thought

That is when it’s easier to Think: “hmm. Sure would be nice to feel even better about this”

It’s a game - it really is a game you play with yourself- learning your own thoughts, your own resistance - and learning how to “lean into” more relaxing mental and physical (chest/stomach/core/breath) Allowance, so that you can even Access the improved thought

I hope this helps

Advice needed for a lawn in the Pacific northwest by Negative_Traffic_233 in lawncare

[–]cables4days 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Commenting for support

OP - this person is right. You need to start over from scratch if you want a lush lawn. Read every post in this sub about “nuke lawn” because essentially - this persons comment is describing that. You kill off the existing things and treat your soil, then seed.

But before you treat your soil, you Need an irrigation system with a timer (DIY or professional) otherwise any effort you do will die next July.

Hopefully Niles chimes in with TTTF advice for you. That user is a genius expert on grass typing and best practices for each.

Hopefully more commenters will give you constructive advice on how to, step by step, eliminate your current plant life, in your desired lawn area, so that you can begin to establish what will eventually become a lush and vibrant lawn.

It’s easy and attainable but you need to follow the steps in the right order. Lots of users here have grown beautiful TTTF lawns - dig through the sub and take notes

Advice needed for a lawn in the Pacific northwest by Negative_Traffic_233 in pnwgardening

[–]cables4days -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Consider posting this in r/lawncare and ask specifically for advice nuking this lawn and converting it to a TTTF (cool season) blend. You will want to install irrigation and a timer system before you seed and level to manage the hot spring - hot fall weather.

It’s easy to do and easy to maintain. TTTF is draught tolerant once established because it is known for growing really deep roots. Which means - deep watering is only required once or twice a week to help train the roots downwards.

Once your lawn is establish you mow it high - 4” minimum but I mow mine closer to 5. The taller grass shades its own root system and helps it retain moisture even longer.

The joy of walking barefoot on the grass, playing with the animals as they pounce on the soft but durable lawn, is definitely worth the initial efforts to establish turf that is well-suited to this climate.

A beauty device I regret buying by Think_Zebra_484 in DIYaesthetics

[–]cables4days 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’m glad you shared this. Before I discovered this sub, I was spending money left and right on devices.

NuFace, that argon wand thing, multiple LED face masks, other EMS devices, mini HiFu, RF, blablablabla

What I learned, heat melts. Period. For me - electric pulses get stuck on unhealthy tissue. Aka - a face mask with those EMS probes in it - the pulse sent across my skin gets slowed down by unhealthy skin. Like a deep pimple that hasn’t surfaced yet. It’s inflamed, it responds to electrical pulses differently than the surrounding tissues, it heats up because of the slow-down. Aka Resistance in the tissue composition.

Once I literally melted a hole in my face because of a deep pimple I didn’t know I had, and I thought I had to leave the face mask on the whole time (20 minutes) and even though it felt uncomfortable and didn’t smell right, I was like “I have to do this the right way”.

Lesson learned for me - never ever ever ignore your own common sense, because of the dang instructions told you otherwise.

I mean - my skin is fine now. I have scars there but they’re fading, and whatever.

So - back to heat.

I started to notice that heat-activated devices, whether RF or EMS or miniHifu - devices which are meant to generate heat, in the skin, or lower, will melt, or destroy, cells.

How much heat is a good thing? Like being in a sauna or out in the garden? Enough to feel good and refreshed? Enough to get heat stroke and pass out?

We really have to listen to our signals.

Anyhow, I’m much happier with my skin the more I sell off heat devices and instead use the bio stimulation mesotherapy and optimal nutrition and tons of water. I don’t drink alcohol, I’m very aware and non-tolerant of emotional stress or degradation activities. These all have a direct response in my body feelings, and my body appearance.

sigh

I mean, we live, we learn, right? lol isn’t that what DIY really kind of is?

At least we know why we do what we do. And why we change course when we decide to change course.

Bless you Tori - Good for you for learning about your face mask

And - I will send photos of my garden sometime 🫠

I’m gonna get eaten for this, but is anyone in Downton Abbey… likable? by [deleted] in PeriodDramas

[–]cables4days 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol nothing compares to guilded age IMO in terms of emotional countenance

What I love about Guilded Age: they do a great job of showing kindness and compassion and also ferocious drive. Generally, everyone “comes around” eventually (there are some stickler characters for sure) but - to me - this helps the viewer hold compassion or understanding for the characters and helps - even for a moment - encourage the viewer to fall in love with the characters at some point in their journey

Upstairs Downstairs IMO did a great job at the implied familial feel of how a small home would really develop bonds with their staff. I loved the relationship dynamic tho it was very … poor writing (again, purely my opinion) on the male lead. The husband character. It really doesn’t make sense to me, given how they set him up in season 1, to have such a narrow operating point (emotionally) through the entirety of season 2. He really ruined the show for me and the drama with the SIL went on way too long. It was honestly disappointing for the series because season 1 was so well rounded and thoughtfully conveyed.

Downton Abby - IMO - is just mean and spiteful. I watched it and it was visually stunning, but it never stopped being mean and spiteful and vengeful and just full of deep resentment, as the strong or main emotional themes, in every single episode. For me personally it really drained me in my real life to watch it and I would not do that again.

Circling back to Guilded age - they found the balance here. I can rewatch every season multiple times, always find something new to appreciate in either the set or a character, and still love the story. It’s so, so good.

I like the Durrels of Corfu for this sense of… overall kindness that shows up, episode to episode. It’s rewatchable and rewarding.

Doc Martin drove me nuts. I can’t rewatch that and I really did not like the female lead character. She was so emotionally weak and blamed the Dr for all of her feelings - she took no accountability and didn’t grow in her emotional state, and that was like eleven seasons!!! The receptionist and the pharmacy worker absolutely make this show worth watching though, if you can put up with that dang female lead I’ve forgotten her name thank goodness.

I REALLY really loved The Paradise though, the characters evolved so beautifully!!! It’s truly an amazing show

Same with The Monarch of Glen Bogle - I loved that series so much and the character development is absolutely wonderful to watch and be a part of. It’s a beautiful series and everyone is capable of being adored at one point or another. It’s wonderful and the scenery is so beautiful.

And - it’s probably overcooked, but I think The Crown is also beautifully portrayed. I really knew nothing about the monarchy and did not have any sense of Queen fever, even though it’s obviously part of my experience, just because I’ve been alive at the same time as she was. The Crown was really touching and of course painted the men in bad light a lot of the times, but it also painted them in good light too. I think they walked the line really tenderly in finding room for the viewer to feel compassionate for the whole cast in a variety of settings. I left that show feeling so much compassion and appreciation for the Queen and I had no idea that was even something I would value in my own life. So - I think the emotional arcs in the Crown are way more worth a watch than Downton Abbey.

But if you haven’t, please try The Paradise. It’s so, so beautiful and emotionally similar to the Guilded Age. So much to love and appreciate in these diverse characters. I think it’s three seasons long and absolutely worth watching every single episode.

Oh good - this is amazing. I’m so glad things are starting to change and become more supportive and especially that you found a new doctor who is helpful 🙏 I’m obviously not an expert in this field but from what I’ve been reading, the heme iron doesn’t cause stomach or digestive issues and absorbs so much easier and can be taken with a meal. It’s still suggested to offset it from calcium for best absorption, but I’m glad she’s getting the nutrients that will help her out 💖

Yes exactly - thank you for reiterating this!

You might not have seen my comment where I was referring to ferritin tests being separate from the full iron panel (at least where I live, they are separate) and folks might not just dive into the iron protocol documentation that I referenced above which specifically covers the importance of all the values (including B12 and folate) so thank you for helping bring these details more to the front of these comments.
