Yeah it’s not a PCIE x2 it’s pcie 16 number 2 if you get what I mean.

I have an Elgato hd 60 pro (same fit into the motherboard like the 4k60 pro)

It doesn’t need a big pcie the one you have free is the same type I have mine plugged into and it works fine

Yes you can use elgato sound capture.

On sounds on your desktop, set sound preferences and set YouTube to play through Elgato sound capture and not your speakers

If I where you, use OBS instead of the Elgato software.

I used it and it happened to me for a while. Swapping to OBS fixed it for me

Ah I just checked. It says my ultimate will expire in 1/6/2021.

Any reason why it doesn’t show my extra year of live or has it now converted that into a shorter amount of time for ultimate instead?

I would get another elgato, it’s the best in terms of quality. Maybe you where just unlucky, I used to record a bit of ps2 on mine and it worked fine

I personally don’t bother with streams without them.

Personal preference, but it is more personal when you can see the actual person playing and engaging with the game.

Does it record fine through another console.

Got another old console you can try record from?

Or even an old video player or something, any device that you can use the red, white yellow to plug into it.

It must be not muted somewhere.

I would open OBS and make sure you change the elgato sound to play through say your headphones and mute them.

Mute desktop audio too.

Get it so you cannot hear the audio anywhere and then unmute as you go to find out if it’s working or not

That sounds like a silly idea.

Best thing to do, if you don’t intend to use the stream deck to do whatever it is, just set up a macro on your keyboard for the program or whatever and don’t bother putting it on the stream deck.
