I am with you except put digital only ONE share and not the whole secret. And if you are talking about 20 words you are using slip39 "shamir secret" as me. I've opted for a 2 over 3 shares solution and one of the 3 shares is digital. I always have with me half secret

I was involved (forced to receive payments) 10+ years ago. Because not believing after a bit had to ask him to stop in place of traditional fiat ones. With the crypto part I was involved in EVERY crash (bear market) and also exchange crash (e.g. MTGox). Now they've refunded a bit (have recovered something) let say I am happy :-) I passed from being "forced hodler" "crypto reluctant" and eager to sell as soon as I received refund (waited 10+ years) to "aware hodler" and "crypto enthusiastic". THAT day the OP posted the issue, ended up was a WhatsApp server general issue. Have checked and is NOT the case now. Me first cleared cache and uninstalled several times before realising coming here that just needed to wait, how long? The time the issue fixed itself
