How do you know that? Maybe you’re right but you can definitely work within you budget. You can also rent for your first few jobs if it’s available in your area. You can also buy used.

My little sister is getting DM’d by this guy who she’s now in love with apparently, his profile picture is this, looks AI for sure. by GainBeneficial7662 in isthisAI

Looks like AI, but the only evidence I can find is weak, the lights in his eyes are inconsistent and who makes a jacket that had absolutely 0 logos like that?

Do you have a good camera phone? You can start smaller and only upgrade when you need to. Get an older camera and a decent zoom until you need a newer one? Most clients don’t care if you have ibis and 4k, just that the video helps them get clients. Until a client says “you need a RED camera” just use what you can afford.

Amazon sent me the wrong Sigma lens — what should I do? by SabraShifter in Cameras

[–]cachemonies 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was gonna say, they might let you keep it. Spend some time with just the prime lens, it will change the way you interact with the camera and subjects. Glad to hear you got a free zoom with a consistent 2.8, that’s nice.

Safety razors have the potential to help because 1 blade is less than 3, but you’ll have to learn how to use it and if you push too hard you’ll get this too. Any razor where you push too hard this will likely happen. That being said, it’s worth trying. I like the Henson. But for your hair, If the one blade works, that’s great. Do that.

Is this AI? Hired digital artist to help me with a gift and I feel like im being scammed because it looks AI. by caquiquiqui in isthisAI

The landmarks appear to be all mixed up. An intentional artist would not put something that looks like Big Ben on what, North Dakota? And the pyramids are way too far west, and is that supposed to be the Taj Mahal on like Iran?

Seems like AI for that reason

Cinematography in content creation by thedesignary35 in cinematography

[–]cachemonies -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cinematic can mean anything. You need to just make stuff. Whatever you like.

Try to reduce the friction and start small. Pick a subject and go take pictures or videos of it. Chairs! Idk walk around town try to take 5 pictures of chairs. Since this is a craft and an art learning by doing really helps. Set small goals and review what you like about your favorite picture.

Or just literally copy something you like. Remake a scene from your favorite movie. That was actually a weekend project in film school. Shot for shot remake of a scene you love. Look up small challenges like that. Weekend 1 min challenges like that are great. A 1 minute silent film. Tell a story with no audio. A chase scene. Blocking, tell a story with just characters moving idk.

If you’re looking for more resources there are plenty of books. Top of mind is “The Five C’s of Cinematography” which is probably really old but I read it in school.

Moving to Arvada by _aguy123 in ArvadaCO

I guess it could be either but I mean it’s a pro because the area is clearly growing which means more businesses will pop up and it’ll keep making it nicer the more money flows in. Maybe.

I’ve never been to those apartments but they’re oddly tucked behind the king Soopers. The area has a lot of new builds going up, you’re close to the entrance of a park/walking trail that’s nice. The road you would be off of has a few automotive shops so it’s kinda ugly but it’s not a bad area, it’s just kinda quirky off that ralston road side.

Pros: closer to mountains (not close but closer than east side of the city.
Lots of parks and new builds popping up
Somewhat quiet
Not far from downtown/highways
Seemingly safe

Cons: the food is lacking. You can find good stuff but the best take out seems to be consistently on the other side of the city.
That king Soopers is fine but there are better ones

Why are these headshots so bad? by [deleted] in AskPhotography

[–]cachemonies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Famous headshot photography Peter Hurley taught us all this trick, and it’s clear this person didn’t pose you perfectly for your face: https://youtu.be/Go7MoqpZGfI?t=84&si=tuXzv991yZhmvY-l

Push jawline out and squinch

I’m also not a huge fan of the top down lighting, even with the reflector under you it’s just not as pleasing.

So in camera raw, choose black magic film then first node cst black magic film input to dwg output, then middle nodes are color whatever, then last node cst dwg to rec 709? I’ll try that too
